Hm. I am thinking I need to see this episode before I offer up any actual opinions.
Just told roomie about the lack of dark spots on Hook’s heart. She is not amused. “It should be all black. Maybe a teeny, tiny bright spot.” And joking – “Maybe he stole the dead guy’s heart and switched them. Maybe that’s the twist.” Also, when mocking that Hook’s heart was clear because he’s changed – “I thought when the queen ripped out Snow’s heart and it had the dark spot, she said it could never go back?” See, the GA does pay attention to these things… (She further observed though that apparently it can, as when they split it, it looked fine.)

I like the slogan – except, that would require us to self-identify as Oncers, and I’m not sure that’s something I’m inclined to do. The irony is, before 3B – when we were doing our rewatch – I loved the show SO much and was so in awe of the storytelling that I sought out a “fanning” (to quote other roomie, lol.) At that time, I would gladly have identified as such. But somewhere between finding out how this fanbase operates and the disaster that has been 3B and 4A thus far, it’s no longer a show I want to affiliate myself with. (Who wants to be considered a part of a fanbase that harasses it’s actors, cheers beloved character deaths, and taunts its own members? The infighting is insane!)
So, I’ll gladly identify as a bison rancher (our group here in the thread,) or maybe even a part of the larger SwanFire fanbase, as it generally seems to conduct itself with class. But although we were brought together by OUAT, it’s not ultimately what bonds us. That’s Jo’s cold, RG’s stoop, Heather’s love of CF – it’s HTGAWM and watching our friends’ other ships sail to remind us shipping CAN be fun and not all heartache (Dawsey & Shamy, I’m looking at you.) And it’s the realization that we live in a world that a story about hope and forgiveness is seen as disposable but there are still SOME people who get why love, respect and sacrifice far trump pretty flash and “hot” chemistry.
Urgh. Sorry for the essay. This fanbase was a shock to the system and apparently I’m not over it yet… 😉

Seriously, I totally respect your wisdom in not meeting random people from the internet.
Roomie and I were talking about how I keep meeting up with the fanning at theme parks and I said, “well, we have the zoo… and they have swings…” She said I should tell you, “I need you to come to the zoo and ride the swings with me. Just tell me what you’re wearing, we can sit next to each other and ride and then leave, you don’t even have to talk to me.” I was laughing so hard…
