I already have something you might like! Someone with a lot of time on their hands made an abridged version of Once Upon A Time, and has taken it as far as Skin Deep. In this version, Rumple/Gold made a deal with Archie/Jiminy to be his best friend, Henry is a murderer in the making who idolizes Gold, Gold flirts with Emma non-stop, August is still mysterious and hot, and David/Charming is still not-so-charming.

I think it’s possible that people from other worlds got sent to Storybrooke. There’s an interview on youtube with the writers talking about the other doors in the Jefferson’s hat, and one of them said something like, “This goes to show that this curse really spread far, this world is bigger than we know.” (3:59)

Here’s the link to the clip.

@mujie I think the curse just affects people differently. The whole point of it is to take away everyone’s happy endings, and everyone’s happy ending is different.

Why wouldn’t the Wizard of Oz remember who he was? Regina remembers because she enacted the curse. Jefferson remembers because if he didn’t he’d be another rich, single guy living it up in a huge house. Rumple/Gold remembers because if he didn’t he’d also be another mean, rich guy living it up from “owning” the town. With their memories, they’re all just as miserable as everyone else. That could be part of the Wizard’s curse: To remember everything and not be able to find his own way home. It could be the reason he just came to town out of nowhere.

If Regina wants to threaten Rumple with Belle, how do you think she would do it? Like would Regina just say “do this or Iโ€™ll kill Belle” because Rumple probably won’t believe her. Maybe Regina will show Rumple Belle all tied up? Or show him her heart!?

I think she’ll show him her heart. that would show him that she is control of Belle’s actions and loyalties and that she can be killed at any time.

I think if she were to threaten Rumple/Gold with Belle, she would probably just show him a picture of her in her cell under the hospital, or give him some indication that she was still alive. Belle’s already being kept prisoner in a well-hidden place where all it would take is just one phone call from Regina and Belle would be “taken care of.” If you’re going to threaten your biggest enemy with their true love, you can’t let them know where you’re hiding them. ๐Ÿ˜•

Holy crap. No one has called that August is the Wizard of Oz? Well, I’M CALLIN’ IT!!! Can it be added the OP please? ๐Ÿ˜€

    I second that!

I’m also calling that August is a blood relation to Dorothy!

When I first saw him with his Kansas license plate, I immediately thought “Dorothy.” You’re right, he could be the Wizard, or someone related to Dorothy.

-And finally, why would the writers have us wait all season to learn who the infamous stranger is only to find out that heโ€™s Pinocchio? That would be ridiculously anti-climactic. Making us wait all season for Oz? Yes! Or making us wait for Peter Pan? Sure! But for Pinocchio? Uhโ€ฆno.

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing! I even posted in another thread that the idea of August being Pinocchio in a leather jacket is just lame.

I, for one, am eager to hear what tales Rumple will tell once he starts his therapy with Archie.

Me too! Honestly, when I heard about Rumple/Gold being next to sit on Archie’s couch from clips of Paleyfest, I actually busted out laughing! The imagery of that guy lying down on the couch telling Archie all his problems is just hilarious! ๐Ÿ˜†

I’m excited and worried at the same time about what Rumple/Gold would tell Archie, mostly for Archie’s sake. How do you think it would feel to listen to the secrets of someone like Rumple/Gold? Robert Carlyle himself said that Gold was slightly “warped.” I’m afraid Archie is going to walk out of that session slightly disturbed.

We probably all feel that Belle’s life is in danger. But on the other hand if Regina killed her, then that would be over for her. She would no longer have the upper hand over Gold and she would have to face his wrath. She would be done and the final battle would end pretty quickly, I think.

    *Fist Bump* Word. :ugeek:

Mr. Gold would unleash hell on Earth if Regina kills Belle. Besides, Regina needs Belle alive. She’s of much greater value alive then dead. As long as she has Belle, she has leverage over Mr. Gold.

Seriously-for a little guy with a cane, Gold’s proven himself capable of causing all kinds of chaos. His reaction would be like a nuclear bomb.

Maybe not orchestrated, but he definitely took complete advantage of the situation. I agree with you, he’s really trying to get her on his side. I might not be so bothered with it if the writers had already made clear of what his agenda is.
