I could picture Anastacia and Will back in her mother’s home in Sherwood. They’re standing in front of the mirror deciding whether they should jump or not. They decide NOT to jump this time, meaning they never went to Wonderland. And the lived……..
Headcanon: accepted. That’s really lovely.
While I like theory- I believe that Ana’s choices define her- while she regrets some of her choices- they made her who she is. I want her and Will to accept they both made mistakes some bigger than others and then overcome it and because the were able to go and overcome this their relationship is stronger.

Hmm. See, I’m with KFC. I see a lot of similarities in the couples *now* but not originally. I thought Ana left for selfish reasons as well. But tonight proved that maybe two people can find their way back through heartache and love each other again. I do see the parallels with the rest of your points though. But mostly it’s theme of forgiveness and still loving that person (did you see Will’s face when Ana said, “I know you’ll never love me again”–he never stopped. The feelings were just boxed up for a bit)
I agree that there was a lot personal gain in leaving Will for Ana- but she wanted to go back to Will so there had to be some truth in the line “I’m tring to do what’s best for both of us” (Paraphrasing) Which is why I thought it paralleled Swanfire

- Anastasia apologizes for the suffering she’s caused Will… Neal’s “I’m sorry I didn’t look for you” speech
- Anastasia killed after rekindling her love with Will… 2 words PORTAL SCENE
- Ana and Will’s relationship was broken up by Cora as a catalyst… Neal and Emma are torn apart by August

Question- When did you guys start shipping Swanfire- for me it was the bar scene in Manhattan
I began, really, after the episode the Return when we learned how Rumple lost Baelfire. I just *knew* Bae and Emma somehow met and had Henry. Then my “I will go down with this ship” feelings began with Broken because the second I saw Neal I screamed “BAE!!!” I just knew. Then Tallahassee happened and I was like, “yup. It’s true love.” For me, Tallahassee showed that Neal was the exact same as Baelfire. That despite the crap he had gone through (that we had seen up until that point) he was still a noble, good hearted, kind, generous, sweet, compassionate man who would sacrifice everything for someone he loved. With everything he has been through he could have turned into a villain, but he didn’t.
That’s really cool- I was a hard core Gremma shipper back then and had just gotten over his death I was late to join the Neal is Bae theory I started to believe it that summer
