ParticipantHe did lie–he told her that the love potion was the only way to save Henry. It wasn’t. All she needed to do was kiss him. Then he lied about how Regina abandoned her and got her to trust him.
I agree that he probably didn’t know Henry was his grandson. He has done much, but it is hard to think he would use his own grandson like that.
And I think he figured that Baelfire would be older–he believed August was Baelfire at one point. He’s been searching through space and time for Baelfire–he must have an idea with age.
I wouldn’t say he ha gained a grandson–his relationship with the Charming Family is shaky at best. Emma doesn’t like him or trust him. And I’m willing to bet that Snow White and Prince Charming won’t be happy to have him in the family, either.

ParticipantI agree that he is a family man–that is why I can’t believe that he would give Henry to the woman he deems a monster, and endangered his life by giving him the apple. I know he never intended for Henry to die, but Emma may not have kissed him. I would think that if he knew Henry was his grandson, he would have kept him with him, or at least tried to befriend him more.
It could be that since Emma is the product of True Love and the savior, while Baelfire is the reason behind the curse, that that may have connected them. I had been against this theory before, but more and more I am supporting it, though mostly due to Tallahassee and how awesome Neal and Emma were together.

ParticipantI get that she owes him a favor–I just hate how they got together and once again they are seperating. Especially since Snow White and Prince Charming have not gotten to spend much time with their daughter. And once again, they are forced to part with her.
Not only will she be floored, but she’ll feel as though everyone has had a hand in her life without her say–Pinocchio, Rumpelstiltsin, and Neal.

ParticipantOh, I really hope he did not know about Baelfire and Emma–it would be really low, even for him, to do all that to find Bae. And it would really break Emma for her to know that her whole life was mapped out without her knowledge.
But I do have a feeling that that might not be the case–she went to Mr. Gold at the end of Queen of Hearts and talked to be about the same subject. He told her that he didn’t create her–everything that she has done was her decision.
I know she owes him the favor and she is good at tracking people–yet he was willing for her to die to keep Cora back.
I think this will bring up how he got Henry is he had no idea who he really was at the time.

ParticipantI feel a bit more for Emma, Henry, and Snow White and Prince Charming right now. They just got back together after being apart again and again–and once more, they are forced to be seperated from each other.
The way Henry was holding on to Emma, and she to him, was heartbreaking.
I don’t really get why Mr. Gold needs Emma to come with him. He can leave Storybrooke now–he doesn’t really need her. He was already planning his trip while he Emma and Snow White were trapped in Fairytale Land, and his was willing to kill anyone that crossed the portal to keep Cora from coming, even if that meant Emma and Snow White, too.

ParticipantI feel so bad for Henry and Emma–the former doesn’t want her to leave, especially when he just got her back after thinking he might lose her forever. The way they both hugged each other was really touching.

But I do wonder why he would run from Emma. He has waited for her for close to 11 years now. I guess it could come from shame and fear/anger of his father. I just cannot wait for this episode! This is one of the ones I really look forward to.

I agree. 🙂 No matter how angry Neal is at August, if he is Baelfire, he will try not to mention any names in front of his father. He knows his father’s wrath–like you said, Rumpelstiltskin has killed for less.
I think he will be afraid to see his father again–especially once he knows how his father has used Emma and Henry.
It would be funny about Gepetto thinking he could pay the money off, and then really look at the price. But I agree that Neal might not really care for the money–11 years have passed, Emma seems pretty well off. She has a job as Sheriff, and she’ll probably be able to get her own house, soon.

ParticipantI think Snow White is sort of bait to trap Regina in that spell. Regina is not dumb, but she is rash, and she lets her anger get the best of her. I could see her looking for Snow White and confronting her, only for it to be a trap.
If Snow White and Prince Charming were to take back the kingdom, the only main enemy in their way would be the Evil Queen. Once they get rid of her, then the rest would be easier for them to handle.
Then, when Snow White goes to Regina with the dagger, I could see her wanting to kill Regina herself. Maybe she tries to do the–Regina killed her father, made her into a criminal, forced her away from her home, and tried to kill her friends and True Love.

ParticipantI think the fury would (and should) turn to Rumpelstiltskin. When they both find out that he was the one that got Henry for Regina, both of them will freak out and be furious with him.
I doubt he knew that Henry was his grandson. He has done a lot, but I doubt he would give his own grandson to the woman that he encouraged to become a killer.
But Emma and Neal probably won’t believe–his honesty record is not even close to being good, and Emma has never really liked Rumpelstiltskin, nor does she fully trust him. I think Neal would be more angry at August as soon as he found out that he did not give Emma the money, nor watch over her like he promised, and knew about Henry and (probably) never told him.
