I didn’t sense any sexual/romantic tension between the two of them, personally. And sorry if that does offend, but he didn’t seem the least interested in Emma, other than the fact that she is a possible key to bringing him to Storybrooke. 🙂 He has his sight set on revenge–both for Milah and for his hand. He may not have mentioned her, but I think that is mostly due to this being a personal matter, and nor would he want any of the four women to know his full story. Just the bits and pieces.

I can see Captain Hook flirting with her, but most likely in a joking manner, or in a way to distract and disgust her, so that she does not pay attention when he tries to double-cross her.

Also, I can’t help but feel bad for Henry if Rumpelstiltskin is his grandfather–he already has Regina, who may or may not succeed in her path of redemption, to deal with. Kinda hoping that Baelfire is not the father.

I was hoping to see more of Dr. Whale/Victor Frankenstein’s development. There was a bit of his background from his world and with his brother, but he proved to be very interesting and deserved to have more screen time in this episode. 🙂

I had first thought that there would be more focus on him–I hope this episode will open to more opportunity to allow more screen time. 🙂

I had thought that he became the monster, but I am not sure if perhaps Daniel was the monster. But then seeing the arm of his brother, and how stitched up it was, does imply that he was the monster. 🙂

    This was a great episode–

My least favorite will have been how quickly Daniel died again. I would have liked to have seen more interaction between the two of them–I did love the emotion of it, of course, and it was a touching moment between the two of them. It is a 45 minute show, but it would have been nice to have more. Also, not going to lie, but my sympathy for Rumpelstiltskin is dwindling. There is only so many times where you can use the coward and his journey to look for his son excuse before it gets old. Once again, the way he manipulated a young Regina was horrible.

My favorites were Emma with Captain Hook–the way she handled him was awesome. 🙂 She was strong, a fighter, and she took none of his lies. I hope we get to see more of that now in the show. I loved every moment with Dr. Whale and Jefferson and Regina and Prince Charming–these three stole the episode for me.

Also, sassy Jefferson was fun, even if he was using Regina. I’ll give him a bit more credit seeing as how this was before he had his daughter, and he may have been in need of money.

I am tempted to go with that perhaps Victor/Dr. Whale’s brother is a new character. Similar with Henry, Emma, Milha, and Baelfire. 🙂

    @Hannah97
me too! I kept seriously hoping they would show his face, even when I knew they wouldn’t. I am hoping that there will be a bit more scenes with Victor/Dr. Whale–I enjoyed how the actor was able to put a major difference between Dr. Whale and Victor, and his story was a bit interesting.

Also, now thinking about it, didn’t his world look and sound like something from a Tim Burton film. 🙂

The story may focus at times a lot of Rumpelstiltskin, but the other core characters have a lot of focus as well–Snow White, Prince Charming, Regina, Emma, etc. He is the reason for the curse and his motivation is finding his son–Emma is one of the most important characters. Not only does she symbol hope, but she is magically. 🙂

Also, I really hope that Baelfire is not Henry’s father. I know a lot do, but with Henry being related to Rumpelstiltskin will give him another potenially evil relative. Regina is on the path of redemption, but there is no full guarentee thay that will last. And Rumpelstiltskin has not shown to be a good parent–he not only let Baelfire go, but he killed numerous people in front of him, and ripped his ex-wife’s heart and crushed it easily. I know he is trying to change, but he has already admitted that magic was a crutch–it is hard for him to let it go. And seeing as how Emma does not trust Rumpelstiltskin, she si not going to want him to have a role in Henry’s life, and that could add another possible fight over Henry.

Actually, the mention of Chucky was at the new comic-con, I think. Just like they joked that Goofy was Henry’s father. 🙂

I think Emma also did something illegal–she certainly has a good amount of knowledge when it comes to crimes and how to track people. Granted that was her job, but it could have started from even younger. Also, she gave Henry away for a reason–she must have thought that not only would he be more comfortable financially with someone, but that she would not be a good mother–in the second episode, Emma states that she would not be a good mother to Regina.

From the photos of a young Emma with Neal, they both could seem like young (well Emma is young) thiefs enjoying each others company.

Also, I voted to Recall him. He should not be D.A, and nor should he be thrown in Rumpelstiltskin’s cell or hung by his thumbs. Since Prince Charming is acting Sheriff, his should throw him in jail. 😀

Snow White certainly knows the truth, but it is possible that the Kingdom did not know. When Prince Charming and Snow White attended Cinderella’s wedding, the latter called Prince Charming ‘James’ when they were dancing. 🙂

Henry probably also knows the truth–he has read the book, and Prince Charming’s story is in it. The only ones who know for certain are Snow White, Henry, Rumpelstiltskin, probably the Dwarves, King George, and Regina. Everyone in the council may know–they seemed to be pretty close to Snow White and Prince Charming. 🙂

Emma actually does look pretty young–Ginnifer Goodwin and Lana Parrilla were able to play their teenage selves, and Jennifer Morrison look great in the photos. The clothes don’t really bother me–they make Jennifer look younger. 🙂 The Mysterious Man may look younger here, but he still looks much older than her.

Emma looks so happy and comfortable with this man, it is almost a different woman that we are seeing. Someone young and sweet and a bit more open.

I have to admit I am hoping that the father is not Baelfire. Henry being the grandson of Rumpelstiltskin as well would put him in more of a awkward position–his adoptive mother being the Evil Queen already is conflicting for him.
