Participanti cannot wait for this episode–it is great that we finally get a insight into Emma’s past more. She is one of the core characters, and the whole curse does (in many ways) revolve around her. 🙂 I hope we get more insight into her relationship with Henry’s dad.

ParticipantI’m really excited for it, too. It would be a great way for Snow White and Emma to bond some more. Emma is not going to be comfortable with Snow White right away–there is going to be resentment and nervousness.
It is awesome that Prince Charming and Henry are going to bond–they are both very much alike, and Henry has always wanted them all to remember that they are a family. 😀

ParticipantBoth the writers and Jennifer Morrison have confirmed that Emma is a new fairytale character they created, so it is safe to say that Henry is, too. 😀 That said, they also admitted that they did base story of The Ugly Duckling on Emma–how she goes through many changes and all. And I can see comparing Emma to Alice–
1). Both enter into a strange world that they are not used to.
2). Both are surrounded my oddities (Storybrooke is not a normal town) and don’t really have any idea on how to approach them.
3). Both are very curious.
4). Both affect the world they are in.
5). And the story does closely follow them. I know there are other main character in Once Upon A Time, but Emma is one of them that are closely followed.Henry is very much like his family–he is brave, courageous, strong, curious, and smart. He certainly has a Prince-like edge to him for some reason. the way he dresses and holds himself, as well as what he says.
I have a feeling that he is the center simply for how he brought everyone together. He is the reason Emma decided to stay in Storybrooke. And because she stayed, time moved forward.

ParticipantWhether Regina loves Henry or nor should not only be the issue–is she a good mother, and the answer to that (in my opinion) is no. As much as she may or may not live him, she has tried repeatedly to kill or create misery for his grandparents. She killed his great-grandfather–he did not love her, but still. She tried to get rid of Emma with the sleeping curse, and she caused him to feel guilt for Graham’s death.

ParticipantI think Hook will have a big role. That clip and a lot of the promotional pictures indicates that. Also, it is a good time to start adding more villains on the show. More conflict.

ParticipantHis animosity towards her might have even been before he received the book. She never seemed very warm towards him. Whenever we see him and her, she seems sort of cold, strict, and almost distant. Like I said, she does care, but it is unhealthy. I don’t think she knows how to properly love a child–her background is filled with abuse from her mother and being a bit spoiled by her father (to an extent). I think that combination might, as well as being out for revenge and having a temper, prevents her from truly opening up.
I think that scene where she tells Henry that she does love him is genuine–the threat of losing him, of how he hates her, and of how she hadn’t been able to save him, got to her. When Emma kissed Henry and woke him up, she sounded relieved, happy, shocked, and resentful. She had wanted to be the one to save him. And she knows that people are going to say horroble things about her now that they all remember, and she has never really had him–he always was with Emma.

ParticipantAs much sympathy as I have for Regina, it does not lesson the fact that numerous people have gotten hurt. True, her activating the curse was due to manipulation, but she also had a choice. Her father said she should forget about Snow White, about power, about her revenge, and come with him to have happiness. She might have been happy like that–she will not never know for certain. 🙁
Maleficent also warned Regina of the consequences–Regina still pursued her goal, despite the warnings.
In many ways, Regina acts like a child in need of love and in need of fairness (in a childish way). The way she talked to her father before she killed him showed that, as well as her confrontation with Emma in the closet. Her friendship with Kathryn (before the latter yelled at her) also shows that. But with people like Kathryn and her father, once they betray or reject her in anyway that she percieves to be unacceptable, then they are not safe.
With Henry, it can be argued that there is an exception, but it might also be that Henry (in her eyes) goes too far.

ParticipantLancelot wouldn’t be bad–but he already has a True Love. Although since this is Love Interest, both he and Emma may try an attempt out of attraction and the need for comfort and company.

ParticipantEmma with the sword was awesome. This really shows how she may be accepting her role as The Savior. Her stance, the grip on the sword, says it all. The maigc swirling around is also cool. I’m guessing Regina will be relying on her old friend this season. 😀
