I think the potential for Captain Swan sailed. Captain Hook cannot let go of Milah–the way he talked about her just shows how much he loved, as well as the fact that he seemed slightly suicidal, giving how he kept taunting and almost begging Rumpelstiltskin to kill him.
I agree he was selfish. It would not have taken much effort for him to call Emma afterwards and have Captain Hook arrested and charged.

ParticipantI know they did suffer. But they needn’t have to if they had turned Captain Hook over. Captain Hook had attacked them numerous times and kept Archie locked up. That is a crime–Belle had even asked Rumpelstiltskin at one point to report the crime. 🙂
Who you mean to selfish?

There was one more I forgot….
Belle and Rumpelstiltskin just letting Captain Hook go. I’m happy that he was spared and all, but they could have easily tied him up amd called Emma to come and arrest him.

I loved seeing Belle on her own for a bit. It was nice to see her just having some alone time before she bonded with Mulan, who was equally awesome in this episode. 🙂 Seeing her being able to outwit those guys was also awesome. I also loved seeing the return of Dreamy, even if it was brief. It was also nice that the demon was just Prince Philip under some spell from Maleficent and not just a monster wreaking havoc.
I loved how Snow White was in this episode–she was trying to be motherly to Emma and a wife, but at the same time she was putting her foot down when Prince Charming was trying to convince her to fight. 🙂 I get Prince Charming misses Fariytale Land and all, but the curse has broken now, which has made Stroybrooke a bit better. They have a whole town to themselve, and can really turn it to their home.
Glad they didn’t make the story arc of of Archie kidnapped too long. I was a bit afraid they were going to stretch that out too long.
Belle able to knock aside Captain Hook was awesome–he really does end up getting tied up or knocked out cold. It does put in a bit of humor in the story. It is funny how everytime he flirts with a woman, he ends up getting hit.
Belle calming Rumpelstiltskin down from hurting Captain Hook was touching–I love how she brought the light out in him, and his obvious care towards her throughout the episode was sweet.

Belle trying to take on the demon without a plan and with a dagger–the first time, not the second one. I don’t get why she thought that would ever work. I’m not trying to attack her character, but it seemed extremely reckless for her to do.
Also, the glossing over of Milah’s death. I get Milah wasn’t a good mother to baelfire or a good husband to Rumpelstiltskin, but it doesn’t mean she deserved death. It kinda bothered me by how quickly and easily Belle seemed to defend Rumpelstiltskin for it. I guess the amount of time the episode has is part of it, but I would have liked for her to at least confront him on it.
No mention of Pinocchio…again. Seriously, it would be nice to at least have him mentioned–to know that people are looking for him.

ParticipantI agree with you about Henry. I thought his reactions were a bit flat–though I think that mostly goes to the actor that plays him. I have nothing against him personally, but there are times where his acting can get a little flat.
I really loved Snow white in this episode–she does her best to support Henry and Emma and Prince Charming, while also trying to build a family and a life in Storybrooke. 🙂 I understand Prince Charming wanting to go back to Fairytale Land, but he really should also think about the fact that he has a daughter and a grandson, both of whom would be endangered as well.
I’ve thought that Captain Hook was a really bad villain from the get-go. Comparing him to other villains like Cora, or former villaisn like Regina and Rumpelstiltskin…well, he really is the weakest one. He keeps getting tied up or smacked–it is really funny to see, but it also makes it difficult to see him as terrifying as the others. Although the way he got Belle to forget was a bit clever and cruel.
I really did love how smart Belle was, but I also thought that she was a little too eager–particularly her storyline in Fariytale Land. The way she approaches the cave with a dagger to kill the demon, all my herself, with no real plan was really silly.
I don’t really like Captain Hook, but I like how the actor almost makes you feel for him. When he talked about Milah, I believed him, and I actually sorta felt for him a bit, though not by much.

ParticipantI guess that Captain Hook decided not to bother with patience anymore for his vengeance. It figures that he wouldn’t be able to wait any longer.
Love how Belle did get the best of him.

ParticipantYeah. 🙂

ParticipantI stated that I didn’t like her getting fooled too much. And that she let Rumpelstiltskin off the hook a bit in The Crocodile.
When it comes to fighting, I never complained. I wanted her to be more assertive–to be more cautious of her surrounding. I wanted to see her stand by herself a bit more–like she had with her father. I do like Belle, I’ve never disliked her in the show. But after The Crocodile, I just feel like her character is a bit too naive.
I never talked about her being physically strong. You don’t need a sword to be strong. You don’t need to be able to throw a punch to stand up to herself. That was what I loved about her in Skin Deep. She had guts and personality.

ParticipantI’m not just comparing her to Snow White, I am comparing her to most of the women on this show, all of whom have been shown to be fighters. Almost all of them have held a sword and fought.
I just feel like it is old–Mulan, Snow White, and Emma have all fought with swords. And the rest of the main female (Regina and Cora) have used magic to fight. I’d just like a little variation.
Belle already had a strength of character. She was smart and determined and willing to sacrfice her life for her family, friends, and village. She stood up to Rumpelstiltskin and was unafraid to speak her mind.

ParticipantI can understand Prince Charming wanting to go back to Fairytale Land. The place is where he was born and grew up. His mom died there, and he has a lot of good memories. It is the land that he and Snow lived and ruled together.
But Storybrooke is looking more attractive now. Fairytale Land is basically ruined. And there are ogres everywhere. Emma can still be Sheriff. Granny has a good buisness. Everyone woke up from the curse, and they have all been reunited with their loves ones. 🙂
Belle is probably going to get kidnapped in the same episode–I don’t really see how long they can stretch her story out much more. I’m not gonna judge until we see the episode, but it already seems a bit much with her meeting up with Mulan and going off to save a village. I want her to be brave and adventurous, but not to turn into another warrior like Mulan and Snow White.
