Anyone else think Emma kissed Hook to avoid answering his question?

Yes but Killian knew he was being fobbed off (he’s quite perceptive, you know ;-)) but it was also a big step forward for Emma. Usually when she doesn’t want to talk about something she walks away from him. This time she kissed him, told him to be patient, which I interpret as ‘I will talk about this but not just now’ so Killian knows he’ll get an answer. Unless as he said he gets killed by a monster, hence his eagerness to live in the quiet moments.

I really did love that scene. The whole “I don’t know what that is, but sure” is still making me giggle. πŸ™‚ Just another side did anyone else think Hook was looking younger than he had been? Less brooding and more smiling perhaps?

Wow, those Frozen characters are just amazingly (scarily) like the animation. I didn’t find Hook too whiny, he’s just frustrated and he has his sense of humour back. At least Emma isn’t totally avoiding him, that little kiss meant a lot. I agree it did feel a little rushed, a lot of things did happen, but I guess they needed to get certain things out of the way; back story of Elsa and Anna; the magic appearing under duress (they have to cater for people who haven’t seen Frozen); to show Marian that Regina actually isn’t a monster anymore. But over all it was very enjoyable. πŸ˜€ I probably had too many spoilers, but that will calm down I’m sure.

And it always amazes me how quick on the uptake people are with making gif sets. Awesome πŸ˜€

So so so many pretties! Thank you! I’ve been good and managed to avoid the full screening recap, so hopefully there will still be some surprises for me on Sunday (Monday, actually) To quote Elsa and Anna “It’s AGONY to wait!!”

Also, genuine question, Do you think fans can actually influence both positively and negatively how other people see a character?

Totally they can. I’ve been put off Neal and to a certain point Regina by the viciousness I read by the toxic part of their fan groups – and obviously I don’t include all fan in this, because by and large like with everything, there is always a small faction that spoils things for everyone. I guess since I’m unabashedly a Hook fan (and yes I do find Colin absolutely tongue-lollingly gorgeous) it always ticks me off that he gets the brunt of the hatred esp from (not all!) the SQ/SF fans, so it taints my view of Regina and Neal (strangely not Emma, but I guess Hook is viewed at the rival to Regina and Neal so that’s who the toxicity is aimed at.)

This may be strange, but I also find over-positivity can taint my view of a character too. This happens to me in general, rather than with specific characters, if I get the ‘omg this is the best thing ever, you’re going to love it b/c it is just so freaking awesome, you HAVE to watch it because because because…’ I have a tendency not to watch/not to like because I’ve been ‘forced’ into liking it so I will try to find the flaws in it rather than sitting back and enjoying it.

However, I do think you can change how other fans feel about certain character’s by doing the opposite- totally ignore his/her flaws, put them up on a pedestal & it tends to eventually drive people to distraction- they tend to start disliking the character, as well as resent those doing the OTT PR for them.

And I’ve just read this! Yes!! Exactly πŸ˜€ I think that’s what I was trying to say

I’ve been watching Witches of East End, The Lottery & Under the Dome, but those are pretty much at the last episode or 2 of their seasons now. I did get addicted to Finding Carter & Extant but those just finished. Haven & New Girl have restarted with Ep2 of both out this week.

Cheers πŸ™‚ I haven’t been able to get into Witches of East End and I think I’m caught up on Under The Dome – that’s just getting weirder, imo.

Need. To. Resist. Spoilers!!! Too tempting. *claws at desk to stop myself clicking on spoiler thread*

Gotham starts tomorrow, right? That will tide me over. And Sleepy Hollow. And Outlander. And Forever… any others I can watch to make the week go quicker?

Ohh I love coming home to pretties πŸ˜€ Thank you!

    I’ll just add this one:

I feel like Hook has raised the bar in the Pirate Vocabulary department.

Lol- I’ll take the drama any day as well (bring on the angst- weird how CSer’s actually enjoy the angst of their ship, while most the other ships tend to complain about their angst lol)- but those 2 have have awesome chemistry & I β€˜could’ watch them open letters if I had too lol ;) :P

Teehee! The more angst/drama the better I say! Let the others have their boring ‘ships. πŸ˜‰

Actually with those two, opening letters probably would be filled with angst anyway πŸ˜€ Colin has chemistry with everyone/thing. I’m sure he’d be able to make watching paint dry sexy as.
