I don’t know if I want to see Killian in new clothes or not. It feels like september 28 is so far away. How will I manage till the end of october, if I see it now.

I’m hanging out for the end of September too. Although I have something on the weekend before S4 starts that I want time to slow down for. Slightly conflicted 😉 But I totally get what you mean. I love to see the spoiler photos, but what I love even more is seeing it all in context. So the episodes can’t come quick enough 🙂

There is the theory around that Henry wasn’t impressed by Snowing calling the baby Neal, b/c in that scene he gets up quickly from the table and leaves. It was probably just a way to get Emma into the foreground shot though. But perhaps he was a little thingy about Prince Neal’s name, b/c it would be a constant reminder of a father he never really got to know. Perhaps he saw Emma and Hook pashing alfresco and got a bit thingy about that, b/c he wouldn’t really know how close Emma and Hook are and he may see it as too soon for Emma move on after his father’s death. Or perhaps maybe he’s changed his tune about magic (although to be honest I’m not entirely sure where he stands on it) and now sees it as pretty cool and wants to get in the family business that way, sneakily researching while helping Gold out at the pawn shop.

I’m hoping for a baby Neal nickname too. Lol @bo-peeps I love BaeLight 😀

@surayya re spoiler: yeah I saw that too. And if the haters actually watched the clip instead of judging on perhaps the gift I saw of it you can clearly hear the director calls ‘cut’ immediately after he grabbed her arm. So obviously they didn’t think it was right. They rehearsed Hook grabbing Emma’s arm with his hook then went back inside to get another take.
I’m getting sick to death of ignorant people spouting absolute bullocks about things they jump to conclusions to feed their hate campaign. :@

I think Hook leaving Emma and other princesse in that cell is nothing compered to Neal living her in prison for a Crime she did not commit. Emma was the first one who left Hook behind. And they have just met each other. No relationship history there. Neal sent his lover to jail. No comperation here.

And you know Hook wouldn’t have left Emma and the princesses in the cell if Emma hadn’t left him on top of the beanstalk first. He was so heartfelt when he contradicted Emma in saying he would have done the same to her. I’ve always been curious to know what would have happened had Emma trusted him and not left him up there. I think I would have enjoyed that storyline. More CS time perhaps and perhaps Hook may not have had the bile directed at him, since leaving Emma & co in the cell (and hitting Belle) seem to be his big crimes.

Actually I have a random question about the final. Why did Hook need Charming’s help to break into the Queen’s castle? He’d done it before in the attempt to ‘rescue’ Belle. Regina even said no-one else had managed to get past her defences before. Was it just the idea of getting Snow and Charming working together for a common goal and that was the reason he ‘needed’ their help?

I think many of us saw Hook as darkness working towards lightness & Neal as lightness working its way towards darkness, which put people off of shipping him with Emma.

I never thought of it before, but that actually makes a lot of sense. I like that. That’s how I’m going to see him from here on in. If Hook can be classified as a villain for being so self serving to gain his revenge, then it’s quite apt for him to call Neal a villain for being so self serving in bringing the DO back for his own ends; sacrificing his own father to the WW’s control for his own purposes. That’s quite horrible.

I wanted to add something to the ship thing, not only was the JR valuable to Hook, sentimentally, but also in terms of currency to actually manage to get a bean with it. The JR is well sought after. Blackbeard wasn’t going to give her back. She’s made from enchanted wood – I can imagine that’s quite valuable these days since the Blue Fairy used the last enchanted tree for the wardrobe. She’s the fastest vessel in all the realms. And wouldn’t have been called the Jewel of the Realm for nothing. So in terms of being something with an actual value it’s lucky Hook had her, otherwise I don’t think he would have got a bean so easily. As sentimentally valuable as a chipped cup or a swan pendant are they would never be able to be traded as a useful commodity. One bean for something as valuable and useful as the JR seems like a very cheap trade to me. He could have traded that ship for absolutely anything, but all he needed was a bean so that’s all he wanted for her. Virtually three lifetimes worth of memories, a home, something with an actual tangible value all traded away for a glimmer of hope.

@lady, I don’t think I can agree with you more, on both posts.

People see what they want to see, they read their own interpretation into the show. Like all of us they have their shipping glasses on. We’re just lucky that our ship is canon now. But honestly sometimes I just don’t see what they see and even though I don’t agree with their viewpoints, I don’t want to get into an arguement to put my view forward. No matter how much you argue, their view (usually of one particular pirate) is just never going to change. They are always going to see Hook giving up his ship as a way to get into Emma’s pants. Regardless of the fact all throughout ‘NYC Serenade’  he kept imploring “your family needs you.” He could have gone to New York and tried to ingratiate himself into her life if he was a selfish as they proclaim him to be. There’s just no way that  you will convince the haters otherwise.

I agree, the shades of grey are what makes them interesting. It is also a fantasy, one can only lay so much reality onto them. If this show was set in the real world then Regina would be up on multiple murder charges, Rumple would be also be up on murder charges, as well as for psychological torture and false imprisionment. Even Snow would charged with accessory to murder. So when they scream for Hook to be punished for his misdeeds, it just doesn’t work. The haters don’t see him trying to make amends for his dark past, all they see is a selfish man doing what he can to get the girl he wants. A girl who, in their eyes, wants nothing to do with him. (I still have no clue where they think Emma says she doesn’t want him around)  Nothing he does will ever be good enough for them, or will ever been seen as anything but selfish. Haters gonna hate.

    From interview above:
“[Hook] might go back to being a little bit of bad boy,” O’Donoghue teases. “Who knows? We’ll see.”

I may be in the minority here, but I hope so. I can imagine that trying to be good and changing his ways to be worthy of Emma might be tough on him, especially in a strange modern town, so I can see him slipping backwards a little bit.
