ParticipantI’m sick to death of it too. It’s all ridiculous. I really hope baby Neal gets a nickname…
Right, now I am getting on a plane and will have lovely thoughts about Killian in his new clothes. 🙂
Edited to be a little more diplomatic

ParticipantI’m slightly worried that the premise for him getting new clothes is that something happens to that beautiful jacket. I really really really hope they keep it though. It’s so nice and swishy. He needs to swish it more. Just get him out of the full leather, that’s all I want.
@surayya – I do like those ones with the buttons. They’d have to dress him different to Charming and Charming wears a leather jacket so they can’t be too similar. If one is to engage with the primordial forces of darkness, one must expect a little social awkwardness

ParticipantYay!! Has there ever been another show where someone’s costume change warrants so much excitement? 😉
They might give him a leather jacket. Perhaps something like the 9th Doctor or Spike from Buffy?
Oh 9th Doctor! Good call 😀 I won’t be happy if they turn him into Spike though.

Participant2) Keep the coat. Or get some kind of modern version of it.
5) I’m on the fence about henleys.
6) I swear to God if they stick him in some sweater like Eric’s ‘working down at the cannery’ sweater, I will drive to Steveston and smack someone.
2) Absolutely, couldn’t agree more.
5) Um, what are henleys?

ParticipantI’m going away too! Safe travels to all 😀
For as nasty as Hook as behaved, and he has been nasty, he has also been clubbed in the back of the head, threatened with guns and knives, had hands plunged into his chest, knocked loopy with a compass, clocked in the face with moving beams…all by women, not to mentioned knocked over rocky cliffs to be torn to shreds by a deformed Malificent… This isn’t just one sided violence (grin)
Exactly! Sometimes I do wish he would actually speak up a little more than he does though. Regina got antsy about Hook handing her over to GOAT. I just wanted Hook to say, ‘well you did just try and feed me to Maleficent. I think we’re square.’
… but it’s time for Belle to really & truly stand up to Rumple & hold him accountable- just like she did with Hook & Regina (the few times I enjoyed Belle in S3). I’m more cautious with Rumple- every time I get my hopes up that he’s moving forward, he back slides again.
YES! That’s all I want Belle to do. And I was beginning to like her in 3B as well, perhaps b/c we weren’t seeing her as just an extension of Rumpel (and perhaps the writer’s had something for her to do) I don’t mind if they use her as town researcher, that’s her strength, no reason why the others can’t utilise that – that way it makes her an important piece to the evil-fighting clique. She worked out the time travelling thing, she worked out how to defeat that monster thing Philip was, she was the one who found Hook’s ship – so she’s clearly not stupid (when love isn’t involved)

ParticipantTo be fair to Belle, a guy who she only met once before and tried to kill her has now just targeted her again and stolen the one thing that would enable Rumple to find his son. I don’t blame her for disliking the guy. Why would she immediately believe Hook, the guy who tried to kill her, over Rumple? Belle is on better terms with Hook now but at the time he’d just pointed a gun in her face so I can’t blame her for being all “your heart is rotten”. Hook then shot her over the town line so she’d lose her memory. Hook got off very lightly if the worst he got from Belle was an insult. Belle was obviously going to take Rumple’s side over Hook’s because he was her true love, to expect otherwise would be unrealistic.
I didn’t expect Hook and Belle to be BFFs. Fair call, their previous meetings haven’t endeared him to her. My issue is just her blindness to what Rumpel has done. Even after everything she’d heard about the Dark One and what she herself has witnessed (ie Robin being tortured for days just for trying to steal a wand that wasn’t Rumpel’s in the first place), oh no it couldn’t be possible that Rumpel killed his wife for wanting to leave him, “because his heart is true”! In what realm is that statement remotely correct? I’m not saying there isn’t some good in him, but true? It’s putting Hook and Rumpel at polar opposites, which is very obvious they’re not considering five minutes later Rumpel tries to beat Hook to death with his cane, without Hook fighting back btw. But when Belle clocks that she interprets it as Hook trying to blacken Rumpel’s soul by taking his life. No Belle, the man is at the end of his tether, he wants to die. He doesn’t want to die to hurt Rumpel’s soul. She just frustrates me so much! 😀
Thanks @obisgirl for the smoochies, they’ve dulled my frustration 😀 Very pretty. *happy thoughts*

ParticipantWell, I may have been a bit too harsh being glad Belle getting shot 😉 But I also wasn’t too bothered about Hook knocking Belle out before he went to kill her in the tower. I know a lot of Hook hate comes from that action – hitting a defenceless girl and all that – but if I was going to be killed by a pirate with a pretty blunt hook, I think I’d prefer to be unconscious for it.
I don’t get the fandom either. Most of the time I’m sure we’re not watching the same show. It’s amazing how people can see what they want to see regardless of what the actors/writers say. (I’m sure I look through CS coloured goggles sometimes) How do you just dismiss the views of the people who actually write the show? I remember reading (I’m not sure where) someone saying they didn’t agree with Jennifer’s assessment of Emma. How? How can you say the person playing (almost living) the character is wrong? Surely Emma knows more about Emma than anyone else (and I include the writers here too).

Participant…despite Belle’s assessment of his heart!
That always bugged me. And still bugs me when I watch that episode. I’m sorry, but I’m glad Hook shot Belle. She’s just so blinded (stupid) by her love. How can she still think the sun shines out of Rumpel’s proverbial, esp in light of what Hook told her about how Milah died? I am totally with Hook when he asks ‘how can you fight for a man like that?’ That’s a damn good question. She thinks Rumpel has reformed, but he hasn’t. He’s still a lying and manipulative <insert-expletive-here>. Just because he hasn’t got his ugly exterior any more doesn’t mean he’s still not ugly on the inside. Hook’s heart definitely not rotten but I think the jury is still out on Rumpel’s. (Yeah I know it’s not about CS, but I needed to get that off my chest)
