Participant…that TLK doesnt have to be an actual “kiss” as such, it merely requires the lips of 2 people who care about each other (or at least are open to the idea of the other being their TL & accept it as truth), touching for TLK to work…
Ahh I think I’ve found where I disagree 🙂
But I’m with you, I don’t want to be cheated out to the TLK moment either. That’s propbably why I’m so adamant – regardless of rainbow shockwave – that this wasn’t a kiss, true love or not. And even if TLK doesn’t happen next week (I really hope it does) I don’t think I’ll be upset. Long haul. Long. Haul 😉
Lovely thoughts for next week! 😀

ParticipantI do see where you’re coming from in terms of TLK vs Kiss of Life. I get that both instances are just pressing lips to flesh of the unconscious person. As our unconscious person has no-idea who is kissing/resuscitating him, the intent was on definitely on Emma’s behalf. She was giving him mouth-to-mouth, she wasn’t kissing him. I think we’re agreeing on the same thing, that it’s the feeling/intentions but I don’t think Emma had any intention of doing anything else than to push breath into his lungs. I’m sure there were other ways to do it without lips touching lips, but she was panicked and in a hurry. The murkiness of this comes from the how Killian was used to force Emma’s hand. If Zelena put him into a sleeping curse, then it would definitely have to be TLK that wakes him up. But of course a sleeping curse wouldn’t put him in danger.
IMO the other instances of TLK is basically the kisser saying ‘I love you’ without words. And I don’t think Emma was doing that in this case. Although I think she was pretty close to saying it with the ‘come back to me‘.

ParticipantAlthough someone (in another forum) had a point when they said you cant really kiss a dead person either & that the intent is still the same be it the “kiss of life” (aka mouth to mouth) on someone you love/have feeling for or trying to “kiss” your TL alive with a TLK.
Yeah, there is that, but Killian wasn’t dead, he was dying which is slightly different, Emma knew she could save him. And taking Snowing’s TLK when he woke her up from the coffin – and tbh it’s been a while since I’ve seen it – was he actually expecting her to wake up? Or was he just kissing her goodbye and the effects of TLK was a nice surprise?
I really want to “see” a special, ‘magical’ ‘OMG! WTH! We are TL’ moment between Killy & Emma- not a wham-bam-thank-you-mam, ‘oh & by the way we are TL, but you kinda missed it on account of being drowned & I didnt really notice it on account of freaking out over loosing you’,
Me too!! 🙂 But if Emma keeps going with the snark, I may have to migrate to the ‘she doesn’t deserve him’ camp.

Participantso i read some people saying that maybe Hook recognized Emma when they tied him to a tree…
Ohhh! I just realised, they mean the other way around. Sorry, my bad 🙂 That Hook while meeting Emma in the EF (under Cora’s dead bodies) would recognise her from his past. Gotcha. That’s a possibility and way too confusing!

ParticipantNope, not TLK. It wasn’t a kiss, she was breathing life into him. Intentions are very different. I think the circle thingy was his curse going because he felt it was gone when he woke up.

I’m going to be annoying logical. If they are going back to Snow Falls, before Snow and Charming met, I don’t see how past!Hook would recognise Emma. That happened 30 years ago. Emma & Snow in the EF meeting Hook only happened a year or so ago. I believe this will be a past!Hook at the height of his vengeance, fresh from Neverland.
I am a little confused about things. I understand why Zelena wanted Emma’s magic gone. But why couldn’t Z kill Emma as Hook surmised from that little tete-a-tete they had? Was it just b/c Z had been listening to Snow/Charming/Regina’s talking up of Emma being their ‘only hope’? And Z knew only light magic would defeat her? Because as far as I see Z could have easily gone to NY and took Emma out. Emma had no clue what was going on. Without her SB memories she wouldn’t have even known she was magical. Is there something more to it I’m missing? Does this mean Emma does have a bigger purpose?
Actually, Z sent Walsh monkey to look after Emma months before the Charmings worked out they thought Emma was the key. Perhaps I shouldn’t apply logic to this show.
One more small thing, when Hook says sorry to Emma about her losing her magic, I thought he was reluctant to call her ‘love’. It’s such a familiar thing for him to say – he’d said it to Snow the other week. Maybe he was just whispering it. I’ll have to watch it again.

ParticipantI was pretty annoyed when I saw that evil sneak peek that Regina was defeating the WW, but actually I don’t mind that it happened that way, especially since Emma willingly gave up her magic to save Killian. Although I was ready to slap Emma when she kept on putting him down, but he keeps getting up and letting her do it.
Very excited for next week though!!! I was pretty wrong about those two going back b/c they wouldn’t meet themselves. Hook punching Hook. Classic! I wonder if past!Hook is getting all leachy on Emma and present!Hook lays him out for it.

Participant@surayya – lol, I know what you mean, and even more hours to wait until I’m able to watch it after work. And then only one more week left!

ParticipantSo what was the point of Emma then? I thought she was supposed to be ‘the only one’ powerful enough who could save them. I’m hoping there’s another twist, that seemed a bit too easy.

ParticipantHee, I loved the ‘is there anyone you don’t have chemistry with?” Esp Grover. Ohh can we get Colin in the next Muppet film? That would be awesome.
I’m going to join the ‘I didn’t like Spike & Buffy’ group, but then I’d kind of gone off the show in the end. I liked him at the start, but the whole him getting his soul kind of bugged me, considering I was a big Angel fan. So I’m slightly worried that when JE says there’s a bit of Spike in Hook, that he’s going to get a bit meh. I mean he is a love-sick pirate at the moment. He can’t stay like that, surely?
