I think story wise it is unnecessary to kill a character this season will help or improve the story.
I agree. Especially in regards to the SQ. I don’t want to see her die and Elsa was pretty adamant she didn’t want her killed off. I’m hoping SQ comes to realise that Elsa and Anna are her true family (you know if they ever find Anna, because surely they can’t kill of Anna!) and she doesn’t need to destroy the town to have her happiness. It’s a bit of a Magneto mentality. Get rid of the people who don’t understand or fear you before they kill you. It was Elsa who inadvertently put the ‘your family fear you’ in Emma’s head, then the SQ just played up on that.
And you can’t kill off Robin Hood! I’m sorry, you just can’t. He’s Robin Hood and unkillable. Poor Robin, he’s getting a bit of a backlash. I’m not in the Robin is a douche camp just yet, as long as he stands by his decision and not string either Regina or Marian (if she wakes up) along. It might be weird, but I’ve never enjoyed the relationship between Robin Hood and Maid Marian (in everything I’ve watched it always seems forced, I guess b/c of its history) so I’m happy for the ‘legendary’ couple to be broken up.

Be as girly as you like!! Yum indeed! I totally agree with his own assessment 😉
I have a small sticking point with last night’s ep. Well a couple. Well, maybe more than a couple. But the main one I really didn’t like was that Hook used the word ‘monster’ unintentionally describing Emma. I would have thought with his background, he wouldn’t be so judgemental. I don’t know, it just seemed out of place. (But of course the writers make him say that so it looks like he thinks Emma’s a monster, blah blah blah)
My other small sticking point was Snow including Charming and Hook in her ‘we failed her’ speech. No, Snow, it was you. You were the one afraid to hand over Neal, and you were the one who scolded your very scared daughter. Don’t go including the boys who were trying to help Emma in your guilt. (I wasn’t very happy with Snow)
However I did like seeing the SQ’s background. It was a bit heavy handed on the sisterly love, but you know drama drama drama. I liked the way Helga stood up for Ingrid against the Duke. That was nice. Poor Helga. No wonder Ingrid has an obsession with Emma. Very much looking forward to next week.
Also loving Hook and Charming. Even they’ve got to the stage where they’re reading each others thoughts. And how sweet was Belle pushing Hook out of the way of the mirror. I’m slowly starting to like Belle. I think I like her more when she’s not with Rumple, or defending him to the hilt. It would be quite delicious if Belle and Hook became good friends.

ellemo78ParticipantThat one has always been my favourite. (Edit: the ‘Hot damn!” one, pic isn’t posting)
(I miss Hook wearing a sword)

ellemo78ParticipantThis was another quote in the comments of that Nerdy Girl post
I feel like that bit about Hook also having been young once is a bit of foreshadowing. I’d love to see more of his past before he became a pirate. If it’s touched upon in this arc, his relationship with his brother would be a great parallel to Anna and Elsa being close as well. Yay for sibling love.
I like that idea. Most main characters seem to be only children. Apart for David, who didn’t know his brother, or even liked what he’d heard about him. And Zelena and Regina, not much love between them. The Snow Queen has sisters but who knows what happened there, but it didn’t seem good. I love Elsa and Anna’s relationship and the only other sibling love we’ve seen has been Killian and Liam. I’m not counting Emma and Neal yet.
I think when we’ve finished with 411- we’ll have do a top 20 greatest moments list (which will probably end up being top 25…. or 50 moments lol)
LOL you’re right! I think we could come up with 50 now 😉

ellemo78ParticipantOh I love the asking out scene! “I don’t pillage and plunder on the first date” “That’s because you haven’t been out with me yet” *swoon*

ellemo78ParticipantSo on that note…. What is everyone’s top 5CS moments (mine is technically… ok, in reality 6 moments, as I cant narrow it down too just 5 lol)…. mine are (in no particular order)
Wow, you even narrowed it down to 6! 😉 I love all moments! Heheee
I’m not going to try and embed pics/vids b/c my posts seem to disappear when I do.
In chronological order:
1) Hand bandaging on the beanstalk – I don’t really need to say why, do I? 😉2) I agree with the ‘If it’s broken it mean it still works’ scene. The way they’re looking at each other, the blue filter, their warm breath mingling in the cold air, the snow and that moment where you think maybe she’s going to kiss him…. and she walks away. To quote Bart from the Simpsons, ‘If you look closely you can actually pinpoint the exact moment his heart breaks in two’
3) When Emma loses her magic when resuscitating him. Two parts in particular: the quiet almost inaudible ‘Come back to me’ and the ‘what did you do?!’ look of horror? disbelief? anger perhaps (he can convey a lot in one look) on Hook’s face as he realised Emma has sacrificed her magic to save him.
4) Hug at the ice cave. Both of them just clinging onto each other, perhaps thinking almost lost out on something they didn’t get a chance to start. Emma definitely comes out of her shell after that.
5) Can I put all the little glances and looks and silent conversations they give one another as one moment? I can’t pin it down to one, but all those little things are my favourites and they’re scattered throughout the three seasons. It shows they know each other so well and have always made the great team.

ellemo78ParticipantOk I’m trying again, taking out links and quotes and everything.
In reply to “When did Robin get dreamed up? I know Arrow has been around since the 1940’s I think it was, so how much older is Robin – weird question I know, but google is not my friend on this”
He’s an old English folklore/tale/legend. They’re not 100% when Robin Hood dates from, but somewhere in 1400-1500s. However, he is set around the time of King John and Richard going off to the Crusades – I’m not sure exactly when that was, I thought 1200s, but my English history isn’t great. I know there is a tree in Sherwood Forest called the Major Oak, which supposedly was planted in Robin Hood’s time and it’s about 800 years old. But there are ballades and odes and poems and stuff dating from around 1400s

ellemo78Participant*sigh* If my post comes through about 6 times I apologise. It appears then disappears. I don’t know what’s happening.

Here is a bit of Robin information from Nottinghamshire council (and they should know what they’re talking about) http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/enjoying/countryside/countryparks/sherwood/sherwoodforesthistory/robinhoodhistory/
