Say what you want about Hook but seriously, he has amazing devotion to people who truly loves. Liam died and instead of staying the course of being a lieutenant in the navy, he chose to become pirate to honor his brother; he spent 300 years devoted to singular cause, avenging the death of his first love Milah and stayed true to his love for Emma. Even back in Neverland, when Charming fought against him, he didn’t let what Charming said get in the way of a potential relationship with Emma. This is the kind of love Emma deserves. Someone who is 100% devoted to her and even if they don’t get together, he will still continue to honor her. And that is really awesome.
