Neal’s funeral was YESTERDAY according to the ouat timeline but Emma’s is done living in the past?!? Hook is a hero? I’m so done. It was all for CS fans. Neal died for this?? I’m so MAD. I’ve just left the denial stage and I’m on to anger. I just…..have no words.

BTW RG with all your visits to tumblr and other various sites, any good neal isn’t dead theories out there? I’ve been looking but seems like people are fairly resigned to his death. Though I did see someone on another forum state quite matter of factly that MRJ was signed on for season 4. I figured they were just talking out of their you know what though since we haven’t even gotten confirmation of a season 4 at all ye
I’ve seen very few “Neal will come back” theories–most people seem to think 1) that he really is dead and 2) even if they can turn it back, they want MRJ far away from the show that treated him this way. I haven’t seen anything to suggest that MRJ is singed for S4.
yeah. They have not treated him well. Even before the death, he wasn’t given enough screen time nor do I think they wrote to his abilities as an actor. He’s better than the scripts he was given.
I realized yesterday that we were inside a month to 321 & 322. I can hold out for one more month before I close the storybook on this situation.
Same here. I give them until the finale. No neal = I’m done.
That or some sort of afterlife whiteroom dream sequence complete with cheesy harp music.

RG, yesterday I had a thought that the “gap” between 315 & 322 – the waiting game, to see how the season ends up – has become less a question of “will Neal return” and more a, “Will RG find hope again?” I cheer every time I see you find a spark of hope, so I hope to see it again soon.
Ha. I think we’ll get one more appearance of Neal for 322 for some magical “goodbye” to Henry and then that’s it. I really and truly can’t put any stock in the “he’ll be back” theories. They way they chose to end him, for me, singles that they wanted it done quickly so that he’s forgotten as soon as possible.
like some magical recording “if you’re seeing this then I’m dead, but I’ll always be with you” kind of thing? That would be worse than 315 and another slap in the face to Neal/Baelfire fans.

I have my nephew who is a year younger than my son (they are 2 & 3 respectively) on days I don’t work. Today they both got baths, lunch and then nap time. About 15 minutes in my nephew calls me in with poop all over his hands, arms, blanket, crib. Yeah. That happened today. So RG I’m gonna take those 104ut9ru38utri3e5983095u3 cookies (split 3 ways of course) cause I deserve them after this day lol

@enchantedfan. I’m with you. I think they’ll find a way out of this “death” (I will continue to put in quotation marks until 100% sure of his “death) by a technicality. Neal is no more. Baelfire lives.
So is anyone still holding out hope that Neal will return? Looking especially at you @Phee as you seem to be fairly optimistic.
I’ll admit, at this point my hope pretty much only comes from my desire to see it happen than from anything else.
My simple, not thought out at all head cannon for season 4 is Nealfire is the next big bad. I think it would be interesting to see our “heroes” and our “villains” go up against someone they DON’T want to kill. We haven’t seen this yet. There has always been a bit of resistance to killing like Snow versus Regina or Rumple and his Dad but they have never collectively had to go up against someone they all love or care for. I think the dynamic and the approach to defeating someone they love while also trying to save that person and protect themselves would be pretty cool.

EDIT. It would also give Neal the screen time his character so deserves! Bae backstory. Neal after Emma back story. would be awesome
Agreed. Emma can find happiness again, but Tallahassee is SF.
Agreed. And neal telling her to find it with someone else is just another example of the awful writing for that episode.
I’ve pretty much accepted that CS is happening. Whether or not it was planned from the start or when the decision for it happened, well…that’s another story. Sorry to any CSers reading this, but I don’t think CS was endgame until somewhere in S3A. Just my opinion, though.
I have to hope it still isn’t endgame. With or without Neal, Henry is Emma’s endgame.
