    Kitsis said to pay attention to the lemurs. Lemurs are animals that reflect light, which metaphorically could mean light = good. The did not reflect any light when August looked at them. Could this mean August is baddddddddd lol

    Lemurs: Spectral tarsiers – lemur. Tree Dwellers.
    Spectral = Spirit

    The writer of the show asked us to pay attention to the lemurs. August tells Ruby Lemurs reflect light in their eyes yet there is no light reflecting in these particular lemurs eyes. Could this be a metaphor for light being good, meaning August is a vengefull spirit (no light – dead or evil.)

    Thanks Slurpeez, Im just so into this a.t.m. We are only on episode 3 (the third airing tonight) here in the UK. Ive had to watch online _ couldnt stand the thought of waiting 19 weeks to catch up and now the site where im watching online wont have the stranger episode for another few weeks, so im filling up the time on this forum. Plenty to read thanks for the links 🙂 x and charming I agree, Im still on the fence wether August is going to be as we say a goodie or a baddie lol. Although I havent missed the fact that he added pages to the book, which means he can manipulate the situations and characters very easilly either way.

    hmm yes good point tho if u google it there are many links to c s lewis finding inspiration from the brothers grimm. Theres an out of print book been written about it – I wrote on this for my university dissertation. But your right the possibilities r endless. I like to go with August being Baelfire and naturally he is angry at zoso for being the source of all this sadness so if my theory about Zoso and Oz are right there would be the links. Hmm i dunno i give up – credit to me tho if Bealfire does + August for the Baelfire celebration thing 🙂

    the wizard of oz isnt the origional grimm tale tho – its adapted from a tale about a wizard. In grims tale (from which the wizard of oz takes its inspiration…) there are two wizard brothers (supposedly 1 on the side of good and 1 evil) The good brother tricks the evil brothers source of power from him but learning he has to be evil to use it disguises himself and tricks a passser by into taking the power + Zoso. Led zeppelin use the symbol of dark magic on one of their albums but this is where it origionates from. The tale of Zoso and Zoro (good and evil) This is the story we see when Rumple gets his power. the wizard of Ozs true name adapted from this is is Oscar Zoroaster diggs.
    I still think August is Baelfire = the pagan celebration of autum (you call it fall) the first month in fall being August.

    August is not wizard of Oz – The wizard of Oz name in storybrook i think is going to be a new character youll meet called OSCAR

    Think of the origional Grimm tales: the wizard of Oz true name.
    E.g. Grimm tale: the frog prince – translated – origionally the story was named Iron Heinrich (german for Henry)

    August = look for grimm character named Augustus

    RE BAE: possible spoiler alert here

    Think of everyones names linking together : mary blanchard (blanche being white in french) red + ruby etc rumples sons full name is baelfire later in the series we see that Bae finds a way to possibly return rumple to the good man he was

    name spoiler: Baelfire – pagan celebration of fall (Autum in England with the first month of fall or autum being????? August!!!

    I think the fact that this episode and the previous one are close together is a red-herring. @slurpeez108 wrote:

    I’m glad we’ll finally get to see the Pinocchio/Geppetto back-story. I’m also hoping we can clear up whether August really is Pinocchio or not. It seems like we’ll be finding out answers to lots of the major questions that have been asked on the forum and elsewhere.

    I’m hoping the Stranger doesn’t turn out to be Pinocchio. I want him to be a new character like Emma. But it could also be a totally unrelated story within the episode as well.

    POSSIBLE SPOILER: EMMA IS THE SWAN PRINCESS???????

    good theories but every1s name in storybrooke has a link to who they are in the fairytale – blanchard (french for white – blanche) Red riding hood – Ruby. Emma Swan —- spoiler alert – the swan princess (see grimms tales for hints on the swan princess) The wizard of Oz is not a grimm tale – all the others are characters featured or wrote origionally by grim later picked up by other authors or used as inspiration (yep even alice in wonderland naughty c s lewis) August is a writer, now here are two theories : there is an ongoing conspiracy that grimm brothers origionally thought up a story similar to Oz but most of grimms tales were banned and outlawed for being too raunchy. Could August be the writer (one of the grimm brothers) or the wizard or in relation to the name theories — sorry to spoil here but rumples sons FULL name is baelfire (pagan celebraition of the turning of the season – to fall or Autum as we call here in England. The first month being????????????? August.!
