You know if she has been trapped down there and has been aware all that time she probably would be insane.
I think you may be right. Now, I’m actually nervous about her return. Most people think she’ll still be her usual sweet and fiesty self. But the one of the main aspects of the curse is that it turns the fairytale characters into their polar opposites. So, Belle could break out of the mental asylum and become the new villain for all we know. 😯

I’ll be interested to see the reunion between Belle and Mr Gold.
Whilst we know Rumpel believes her to be dead, we don’t know what Belle was told for Rumpel not coming to help her, especially if Regina has anything to do with it. I think Belle remembers fairytale land. The curse was supposed to take away happy endings but Belle didn’t get a happy ending, neither did Rumpel or Jefferson and those two remember their fairytale lives so it’s quite plausible for Belle to remember too.
I can just see the first thing Belle does when she comes across Rumpel in Storybrooke is slapping him across the face. Belle’s been locked in the mental ward probably from the word go so she’s not going to necessarily demonstrate the same personality she had in fairytale land though I think there will still be flashes of the old Belle that come through. Rumpel could see this and realise that Belle isn’t broken by her experiences but is more than likely “chipped”.
I would love for Belle to escape from the mental ward of her own accord because it would really set Regina on edge. She’s been keeping Belle locked away from Rumpel for a while so if Rumpel was to discover Belle was alive and who locked her up, I wouldn’t want to be in Regina’s shoes when Rumpel comes calling.
I completely agree. Belle should save herself. I love seeing female characters kick a little butt. I’m just hoping that she isn’t actually mentally insane. A lot of people seem to think that she’s being kept in the mental asylum because she remembers fairytale land. And for the most part, I agree. But I’d hate it if after spending so many years in the asylum, she actually went insane. That would be heartbreaking.
eternalflameParticipantWow! The votes are in! Rumpel has a lot of fans! I’m glad. Robert Carlyle deserves it.
eternalflameParticipantThere were 20 doors? Wow, and I was surprised when I thought there were only 7. 😯
eternalflameParticipantI’m anxious to see Mr. Gold reunite with both Belle and Baelfire. That man needs a reason to become good again. He needs living proof of his goodness, and Baelfire and Belle are those people. Hopefully, Mr. Gold will be able to prove himself and become the loving father he once was.

If Henry was Bae’s son and Rumpel knew why would he ever allow Regina to adopt him?
I don’t think he knows though. He cleary had no idea. He thought August was his son, so I doubt he knows that Baelfire has a son (if that’s the case).

I loved what the four said in the podcast about how Gold may get custody over Henry during the Regina vs. Emma custody battle. It definetly would make it interesting if he was Henry’s grandfather. :geek:
I think that’s a very big possibility. Emma’s juvinile record may disqualify her for custody of Henry, and Regina’s lies and corruption will eventually catch up to her. So, if Baelfire is indeed Henry’s biological father, then Mr. Gold has the greatest claim to him out of anyone.
If Gold is Henry’s Grandfather I would pay to see Regina’s reaction to that news 😀
But on the serious side, I don’t think a judge would deem Gold to be a fit parent/gaurdian either, Emma has already arrested him in Skin Deep for kidnapping and assault. Any judge with a good head on their shoulders would never let Gold take custody of a child, even if Henry was his grandson. He could easily claim it was self defense. Besides, isn’t the judge on his side? He’s got everyone in his pocket.

Ok, I can live with it being in ep 21 or 22, also. I still think it’s a dream/nightmare then, for the exact reasons stated. Just wouldn’t add up to Emma’s character.
I agree. It’s probably just a nightmare. And on top of that, no matter how much evil Regina has done, I don’t see Emma beheading someone in fron of her mother, father and young son. Besides, who ties someone to an apple tree in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night and swings a sword at their head? 😆 It’s just weird!
If this scene is real, then I’m convinced that Mr. Gold has cast a spell over everyone in town, because this scene just does not make any sense.

Yes. You’d think that Emma’s presence in Storybrooke would actually heal him. But I guess not. 🙁
Yeah exactly. I would think that Emma’s presence would help August instead of cause him harm. That just seems counter intuitive to me. And it seems sort of contrived that he would start dying right when Emma came into town also without that being the cause. Though sometimes i guess things like that just happen.
Exactly. But August did say that he needed Emma to believe in order for him to be healed. So, it’s not simply Emma’s presence that is needed to heal him, but Emma needs to believe too. So far, Emma has been able to give off a few sparks of magic. However, her magic can’t be fully activated without her believing first. But lucky for August, that’ll be happening any day now.
