As for Philip, I think this is a result of the curse, in the end he was a Chinese(-like) monster. He might not have been directly transformed into SOME beast but perhaps Maleficent put him in a body of one that once existed, making him inherit its memories and behaviour, completely zoning out Philip’s mind – I wonder if you asked Philip now, as a human, if he could write any Chinese, he would struggle.[adrotate group="5"]First, I’d like to say. I’m neither for nor against Cora and Rumple. Personally, if anything, they would be an item in the past, not now and because of those ‘primal urges’ like Marilou said, and not because of love. People can do crazy things when they feel lonely and desperate.
However, coming back on Rumple vowing not to love anything else after Bae was gone is not a strong arguement because one cannot stop a heart from feelings. Happiness, sadness, love, attachment, you can’t control it. And even though one might resist, sometime being lonely for so long (hundreds of years in case of Rumple) makes people lose patience and give up previous promises.YES, that’s what we’re talking about! I’m SO SO GLAD Regina isn’t this weak little girl in front of her mother any more. She’s so much stronger and wiser! Gotta love her remarks about the Charmings, I literally gave her thumbs up when she said that!
