ParticipantThank you, Charlie Francis! My thoughts exactly.

ParticipantBut Nero THOUGHT of himself as an artist. There was no way he could actually ‘check’ it. He was a narcissist and a madman and that’s what makes a huge difference here. He HAD to be told he’s good. He was powerful and selfish enough to kill anyone who would say otherwise. (as for him playing the fiddle during the fire – I wouldn’t be surprised, he’s a cesear not a goddamn hero. I’m also supporting the fact that he wasn’t the one to start the fire but that it was a shear accident, the city’s architecture was doomed to end up this way sooner or later)
With TV shows the writers get much more honest response so they really know if they are doing a good job or not. True – if the show doesn’t end up going the way the MAJORITY of the viewers like it, they will have to suffer the consequences, even ceasing the show but they actually get to tell the story they wanted and they can find out exactly if others liked it as much as they did. It would be depressing to know that one cannot express what they have to say and even if this is to satisfy ‘one’s vein mind’, at least it would bring satisfaction. And the fans, well, they will always find a way – if not on the show, then off show – there are so many fanfiction sites online, they unleash writing fans’ imagination – I’d say it’s a win-win.evilqueen

ParticipantI agree with Hellraiser – Rumple’s the one who created all of his “monsters” – Regina, Cora, Hook – wherever he went, he created hate and pain – and I think it was only in case of Archie that turned out to be sort of ok – even though Gepetto’s parents were turned into puppets, Archie was able to leave his own parents and go try redeem himself by helping out Gepetto.
In the end Rumple is the Dark One and therefore, as we seen, not very well understood by anyone.
I find it strange that people of SB have never stood up to Mr Gold but as soon as the curse was broken, they run to Regina’s house to punish HER. I mean, I get it, she cast the curse and everything but all of those characters also have a “complicated story” with Rumplestiltskin and, as far as we know, he wasn’t very forgiving as Mr Gold in SB either but all they can come up with is “charging extra for the pickles”… Noone has ever suggested of getting rid of him along with Regina.
This to me is sort of a sign that they fear Rumple far more than the Evil Queen, she was just an easy target but nobody wants to touch the Dark One.
Then there is the fact that nobody has frowned when Regina mentioned Cora might be coming and no one else is actually helping them in preventing this. They left it in Regina and Rumple’s hands, therefore trusting enough in their skills which to me is another sign that Cora cannot be as powerful and evil as we think.evilqueen

It really irritated me when they tried to do this with Cora too already when we were told that Cora wasn’t always like she was before Rumple came along by her husband, because why couldn’t she just be evil because that’s how she always was since sometimes it just happens like that in real life too.
Well, we don’t really know Cora’s story yet, I hope we do learn it though. I agree that we need some BAD villains rather than just the CONFUSED ones. But Cora seems to be pretty much on the ball and I hope she’ll stay that way.
As to what Henry senior was saying – I think this is just a talk of a man who was once in love.
Cora didn’t know how to use magic properly before she met Rumple so she didn’t really have means to demonstrate her evil character but once she was able to, she exposed who she really was. I don’t think they can show that she was initially good or confused – in the end, HOW did she meet Rumple, did she make a deal with him? Either way, it looks to me like she’s always pursued power and magic while Regina was simply forced into it. Regina had no choice but seemingly it was Cora who actually initiated all of it and that pretty much means there had to be something really bad in her character to even want to start it.evilqueen
ParticipantCool, then they could go and rewatch all the episodes to learn about other characters!

Participantah, but he does, a little, given the reasons why he did what he did. If he knew, he would possibly be pursuing him. But I wouldn’t like that either – what I think more probable is that the show wants to explore HENRY’S rights in regards to Neal. In the end boy has been asking Emma about him and wanted to know as much as he could.

ParticipantI agree, I don’t think she wanted to punish herself but to give herself a chance for a ‘happy’ life and she knew, more than anyone else, that magic will always be her temptation that may ruin everything. In the end she’s not her own mother who wants power at any cost – Regina is more about ‘happiness at any cost’ and whatever that means to her.

ParticipantI went and rewatched the scene when he introduces himself to Emma – he clearly says Cassidy.
