ParticipantOOOH. THIS.
Also, is it me or does Barbara look ten times younger on this picture? Things that camera does to you 😛

ParticipantOh, I do agree. She’s still evil, yet we see her on the road to redemption. So far, so good, she hasn’t really used much magic and (since she’s not a mayor any more) she hasn’t manipulated anyone. BUT she has no reason to, it’s really been easy for her, literally all the people she wanted gone are now truly gone and, for a change, no one blames her for that, so she doesn’t need to create any excuses or use magic to protect herself. Yes, she is trying to redeem herself but it’s been way too easy so far and I think, even though she realizes what needs to be done, she isn’t ready yet and the threat of Cora has clearly shown that.

Rumpelstiltskin has always been manipulated. (yes, he has pre-Dark One and more by Regina later).
HE manipulated Regina, not the other way round. She tried but he always was one step ahead of her!
As for the girl, she really gets it better than many adults! 😉

Participantmaybe he left SB and forgot who he was but this strange connection with Regina will bring him back?

ParticipantAshley, first of all, this is old news.
Second of all, there is already a topic on that https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=2080&hilit=philip
please read carefully through the forum, use forum search if not sure it’s appeared before or not!
Third of all, even though old, this is STILL a SPOILER.
NOT a general discussion topic. You should’ve put the post in ‘spoiler’ brackets (it covers the text unless someone wants to read it, protects people from unwanted spoilers) AND especially you should’ve NOT put this spoiler as a title. Never ever, unless you post it in the spoiler section (even then people tend to avoid it)evilqueen
ParticipantI agree on all those similarities. I’m not convinced that our Charming is Arthur, mostly because of the Lancelot discrepancies (exactly my thoughts as slurpeez). However, it’s a good point and I start thinking that it’s Charming’s twin brother who might possibly be Arthur. it's been said that we will see more of him and explore this particular character so he must have been someone important
Also, I wouldn’t want Charming to be Arthur – as much as I can’t wait for the King Arthur and Merlin story to come to OUaT, it would be so so bad if they just made Charming to be him, it would be too easy and boring.evilqueen
ParticipantOr he could just be charismatic… I hate to bring this example but Hitler had a charisma and that gave him an enormous advantage during his speeches – people just followed him like sheep. But we can’t really say “he coul not have been that bad”.
As for your questions:
1) King George not only needed A son but he needed someone mentally fit to be a king. Also, he probably would’ve wanted a boy that would resemble him (physically) at least a bit. All this definitely limited the possibilities – after all, how a king can expect any peasant kid to grow strong and intelligent? Then, if he really wanted to go into this, he would’ve had to do a “research” among the ‘potential parents’ and, however discrete that can be, people surely would notice if strangers started asking weird questions and then a child disappeared while the king miraculously conceived a heir? It would be every king’s worry that something, some time, would be discovered (whether it’s a deal or a kidnap) and a gossip would start, then his kingdom would fall apart or start an internal war. With Rumple’s deal, he avoided all that – his ‘son’ not only turned out to be a handsome, strong, smart and charming but also his real parents were bound by magic to never speak about it. Convenient!
2) I think the only kingdom they fought for was Snow White’s when Evil Queen took over it – but even in this case, I don’t see how Snow would’ve had more rights to the kingdom than Regina, in the end she was a rightful Queen because she married Leopold (and it had its great sacrifice to it too!). They rebelled because EQ was, well, evil. Fair enough. But King George’s kingdom? Er, have they ever considered taking it over? What bit are you talking about, I think I must have missed something?
3) This is what’s been bugging me too. Both Charming and Regina protested when Rumple said Henry will have to go back to the red room – but how exactly would they stop him? So far there has been nothing on how to prevent the boy going there while he’s asleep, Rumplestiltskin only gave him the necklace to CONTROL it, not to stop him from going there and now even that is useless as Charming has it. So I really hope they will explain how exactly they can protect Henry from coming back to the red room otherwise it would be pretty stupid of Charming to do what he did and 5 minutes later Henry would meet him there anyway. Also, now Charming’s trapped there, wouldn’t Henry protest if Regina and Mr Gold stopped him from going to the red room?evilqueen
ParticipantWhat is this treachery?! I leave for a couple of days and it gets to THIS????
