erm. Yes, he did ruin her life. He separated her from the man she loved and who loved her. He put her in jail, even though she wasn’t guilty. They were having a baby and because of the difficult circumstances she gave it away. If that’s not ruining someone’s life then I don’t know what is.
And it was stated pretty clear that they didn’t want to continue stealing. That watch job was their ticket to a new life and hadn’t August interfered, they would’ve gone to Tallahassee and start a completely new stealing-free life – the fact that they were having a baby, would’ve definitely made sure they started thinking about doing the right things.
