Great find Nonnie!!! Let’s hope Philip gets rescued! Maybe Snow White or Aurora’s mother is trapped there too???
[adrotate group="5"]November 14, 2012 at 11:21 pm in reply to: Regina and Rumplestiltskin-Who’s Worse? Can Either Change? #160782fairy dustParticipantI think Rumple is worse than Regina because when Regina was faced with the ultimate choice…Henry…or the curse…her power and control etc…she chose Henry and did the right thing. When Rumple was faced with the ultimate choice…he chose his magic, power and control and let Baelfire be sucked into the vortex alone. Having said that…I think that Cora is going to be worse than both of them because she was consistently abusive to her daughter. Rumple was faced with a split second decision and made the wrong one….Cora made it a lifestyle.

A good friend and I have been discussing Neal for a week now. Although I thought Neal was Aladdin, my friend reminded me that there could be no way that Neal would be Aladdin, Peter Pan or any FT character as they were cursed to stay within Storybrooke or in FT Land. Neal was outside of both realms. It is very possible that Neal is Baelfire, but it is also quite possible that he could just be a….I guess you could say….Mortal. Also the poster of the Dylan character is off. It may be him, but it may just be a coincidence.
Hi Sariebelle,
I think that it is possible for Neal to be a FT character because Pinocchio is from the enchanted forest but because he wasn’t in FT Land when the curse was enacted it did not affect him…same ithing with Emma. If Neal was a FT character who was already in our world, like Emma was, he most likely would have been protected from the curse.
I really want Neal to be a FT character (Peter Pan) but it could make for some really funny scenes if he was a mortal…sort of a Bewitched version of Once Upon a Time. 😀

No prob! 😀
There is something that I have been trying to picture in my head–when Neal/Baelfire?/Whomever his Counterpart is? got the postcard, he looked both shocked and afraid. There is obviously some guilt to how he handled things with Emma, but will he be able to explain everything to Emma? How will Henry react to him? If he is the son of Rumpelstiltskin, will he try to be forgiving, or will he be more angry at how he treated Emma and Henry. Granted Rumpelstiltskin was not cruel, but he was manipulative, and he did trick Emma into giving him the love potion and made her think Henry was dead.
And then there will be an issue with the whole Charming family as well, and how he will react to them and they to him. 🙂
Hi Elle…sorry it took me a while to back to this message. I think you have got some very good points. It will be interesting to see how Emma and Snow react to Rumple when they get back to Storeybrooke. I think it is wonderful that Rumple loves Baelfire…but he was willing to put everyone else through torment with their own families and children to put his relationship first…I’d be one mad Momma!
As to Neal’s reaction… I went back and watched the pilot episode to compare Emma’s reaction to seeing Henry with Neal’s reaction when he got the postcard. The reactions are very similar to each other. Emma steps in the bathroom…not looking very happy, comes out and basically goes straight to the phone to call the police. Later on Henry tells her that she is pushing him away because she feels guilty…I think this is similar to the reaction we see in Neal.
As to their reunion…I don’t think it is going to be wine and roses. After re-watching the pilot I am amazed at the way it fits with what we learned in Tallahassee.
Ryan compared to Neal
Ryan embezzled from his employer – Neal stole watches from his employer
Ryan got arrested – Emma got arrested instead of Neal
Ryan skipped town before they were able to put him in jail – Neal skipped town to avoid arrest
Ryan’s wife loved him so much she bailed him out – Emma loved Neal so much she took the risk to get the watches
Ryan repaid his wife’s loyalty by going on a date – From Emma’s perspective, Neal repaid her loyalty by turning her in.
Music starts – the song is Howlin’ for You (howling for revenge) – Emma the bail bondsperson starts pursuing the “thief”…in other words, she has made a career out of catching people who skip out those who have trusted them.
Ryan says he can pay Emma the money and Emma says he doesn’t have money but if he did he should give it to his wife to take care of his family – From Emma’s perspective, Neal took the $20,000 for himself, leaving her (and little unborn Henry) to fend for themselves.
He hurt her so much she totally built a life around catching guys like him…I think it is going to be a VERY interesting reunion.
fairy dustParticipantI think you are very much on target Faux Pax…and I think your connection of the accent and Jersy is great.
fairy dustParticipantPhee and Slurpeez I love your ideas…Sisters and maybe their mom trapped! I think the sisters idea is much better than mother daughter.
fairy dustParticipantI agree it is a really big stretch with multiple complications….I guess there is only way to find out and that is to keep watching the show. 😀
