Great thread!
[adrotate group="5"]fairy dustParticipantI was thinking about the scene where Hook holds up the necklace with the bean and talks about how a pirate keeps a souvenir of his conquests. Neal has quite a few things hanging beside the door of his apartment…a pocket watch, a monacle, a fishing lure, a claw (bear?) of some type…and something else that could possibly be a bean. I wonder if these are souvenirs of his conquests.
fairy dustParticipantThe scene where Dreamy uses his pickax to catch Nova’s bag of fairy dust is almost exactaly like the scene where Hook catches the bag with Aurora’s heart. This is a purposeful similarity…what does it mean. I am wondering if Aurora could be a fairy who lost her wings because she fell in love with a human. It could also be a nod to Emma and Tinkerbell.

All this discussion about parents and grandparents have gotten me to visualize a precarious scenario for Henry.
Let’s say that Neil is Bae and also Henry’s father. This would make Rumple/Gold Henry’s grandfather. Neil/Bae’s reappearance will have a complicated relationship with both Rumple/Gold and Emma. We already know Snow and Charming are Emma’s parents, and Henry’s biological grandparents. Emma is of course, Henry’s biological mother. Cora, as Regina’s mother – who adopted Henry – thereby being legally Henry’s mother and now Cora is leagally Henry’s grandmother.ergo:
Snow and Charming –> Emma
> Henry
Rumple/Gold
> Neil/Bae
> Henry
Cora
> Regina
> HenryThis would result in all 7 believing Henry belongs to him/her, resulting in many conflicts between all the adults seriously affecting Henry. This doesn’t account for Hook – who may consider Henry as a hostage to get to Rumple/Gold.
You are right on track…and there is a connection between Hook and Baelfire, if Baelfire is Neal like many of us believe. Baelfire’s mom became a pirate and hooked up with Hook. Which puts Hook in a type of step-father position to Baelfire…step-granfather position for Henry…like in the mini-series Neverland….where Hook was in love with Peter’s mother and was a father figure to Peter before there relationship fell apart. If Baelfire is Neal then Hook will look at Henry and see Milah’s grandson. That could be interesting. Makes me think of the movie Hook…where Hook goes after Peter Pan’s son.

Hmmmm. You might have something here. I’m still on the Captain Swan team, though.
I must admit that Emma and Hook have major sparks that fly between them but in the end I believe that Emma’s true love is Neal…and Henry is a product of that true love. I think that Neal is Baelfire and I think a huge clue to this is found on the New York Subway system’s public art displays. I had noticed the ATM sign but it was truly Christoph’s enchanting story about his boys riding the subway that led me to the MTA and its underground art. The underground, MTA public arts are extensive and the connections between these art works and Storybrook are too many to even list. I’ve done a post that looks at just two of the works. We’ve had this “underground” hint going for a long time but it took me this long to realize that is what was going on. Think of how many “underground” scenes we have had…especially in these last episodes. Then, when you put together that Leroy’s character is based off the same real life Neal Cassady as Emma’s Neal…the connections become even greater. We have also had so many clues that what is on the wall, in the background of the scene, is of major importance…it has been right there staring us in the face all along.
fairy dustParticipantI think that Gold is going to put some of his magic potion on Baelfire’s ball and Emma is going to follow the ball out of town where it will lead her to Neal.

Doesn’t that actually say ATM?
Yes, it is an ATM sign that when read backward reads MTA. MTA is the name of the subway system in New York City.
fairy dustParticipantIf I was going to go by promo pictures instead of story-line I would guess Snow White because of the promo picture of her with all the pencils. Like I said in my earlier post I do think Jefferson is a good possibility. I think he wanted the curse broken so he could be with his daughter.
fairy dustParticipantSnow and Charming’s true love potion is “Love Potion No. 9.” 😀 And as Rumple says True Love is the most powerful magic of all. I guess that makes Emma pretty powerful. I wonder if Henry has magic too?
