Yeah, I think that will be almost as much of a hurdle in the Emma/Neal relationship as Neal turning her in.
I don’t know if the heart thing is necessarily true for Henry, but I do think he has a big destiny all his own. If Neal is Bae and Emma’s true love, I think it will be up to Henry to restore FTL. He would be a product of the true love between the beginning and the end of the curse and with the way he was watching as Regina did magic, he’s interested in it. I think if anyone could do magic without it corrupting them it would be Henry.
[adrotate group="5"]faux paxParticipantI think that was me that said that. But honestly I would like to think that True Love is the one thing that can’t be manufactured or planed. I mean sure Rumple could see it but I don’t want him to be able to influence it. He’s manipulated so much, I would like to see a limit to his power.
And honestly i’m such a SwanFire fan that having the Neal/Emma relationship manufactured would just cheapen it.
faux paxParticipantI think it will be interesting from Bae’s view as well. The curse took all that from him, but without it he never would have meet Emma…talk about a moral catch 22
faux paxParticipantMy thoughts exactly. This is another of the reasons I want Neal to be Bae so bad. Rumple is so used to using those around him as pawns to get what he wants. The only way he could be broken of that (and then have an opportunity at redemption) is for his schemes to severely hurt someone he cares about…and it would have to be in a way that he couldn’t find a way to blame someone else (like with Bell’s dad).
Not only would the things he did to Henry cut him deeply, but once it hits him that the one person who has arguably been manipulative the most by his plot (Emma) was the one thing that meant the most to Bae…
Poor Rumple…but i’m going to enjoy this.
faux paxParticipantI see a lot of moments coming up when we’ll be sorry for him. Rumple isn’t a empathetic character in any form but Bae is. I don’t think Rumple realized the effect his curse will have on Bae. Putting aside the fact that it may have forced him to betray Emma (as Neal–but we don’t know that for sure 😎 ), Rumple has killed, manipulated, and done countless other things all to get back to Bae. I can’t be the only one who thinks Bae is going to have an issue with that.
I can just see how it all plays out when Rumple realizes that all the things he did to keep that one deal–to get back to the one he loves most–will be one of the most damning in his and Bae’s relationship. That will crush him.
faux paxParticipantInteresting Idea, but I think that in the show, Emma was talking about love in general. I don’t think she had broken down her walls enough to let Neal back in, especially after he hurt her so bad the first time around. She’s getting better, but you can’t forget that Neal is a big part of the reason she is the way she is. When she was talking about love being a strength she was thinking about MM and Henry, people who never hurt her. Neal’s a bit different.
faux paxParticipantthat seems to be 50/50. I think it will depend on who can get their hands on him first.
If Neal is Bae, i really want to see him have to get the kill shot on on ogre for some reason…it would be epic irony.
faux paxParticipantAll it says is that there is a blonde patient locked in the psyc ward of the hospital that they wouldn’t let Archie talk to. Daniel in the podcast pointed out that the spelling of the word is for a girl (but i’m not sure how sure we can be of that–almost no English word has ‘genders’ like french or Spanish and if this is one of the few i’m not sure enough people know it, that it wouldn’t just be a coincidence).
faux paxParticipantthe biggest reunion scene will probably be between Neal and Mr. Gold. I don’t know how it’ll all go down, but I’m sure there will be drama.
Especially with how talented MRJ and Robert are… My brain explodes just thinking about it…
faux paxParticipant@ Gyspy. Yes, Hook went to Neverland after Millah’s death so he could not age while he plotted revenge, BUT he already knew about Neverland before he threw the bean. Perhaps because he’s been there before? And honestly, I don’t see how they could PP story othewise. Wasn’t the bigest part of the story his rivalry with Hook because he cut off his hand? But in OUAT Rumple filled that role. Their’s not really much for a “peter” to do.
Besides, haven’t they done something similar with Red being both the wolf and Little Red? It doesn’t seem unnecessary complicated to me. It would just shine more light on Hook’s character, especially since K&H did something in the Crocodile that they don’t usually do: gave us the FTL character’s backstory BEFORE we see them in storybrooke. There has to be more there. I mean if you listen to the way he talks about the lost boys in Tallahassee, it sounds more nostalgic then as part of a rivalry.
Also, remember the blonde patient mentioned in the FB game? Their’s an idea that it could be Tink. If it is, i would love to see the dynamic between her and Hook. Maybe she had to leave Neverland for some reason (BF maybe?) and that’s why he had to grow up–he had no choice. Their could be a lot of resentment there to play out.
But you are right. Right now all they are are theories…but isn’t theorising half the fun of the show? 😆
