I just think those are pretty interesting connections to the name.Even if he doesn’t turn out to be Peter Pan, I do still think he will turn out to be Bae.
I think the Neal as Bae theory has been all but confirmed. Everyone has gave us enough little pieces that we can see the big picture by now. And honestly, it’s too big of a potential drama source for them to pass it up.
[adrotate group="5"]/ Personally, I really want to see some interaction between Neal and Gold but before Gold knows. For some reason, i get the idea that those two will rub each other the wrong way and get into a fight…and then when Gold finds out the truth…
I see your point–their is a lot of evidence.
Personally i REALLY don’t like that theory, for three main reasons.
1) I would feel cheated if Bae wound up going to a land with magic. It would kind of defeat the purpose of what he was trying to do (and come on, if he was in a different land, do you really think Rumple would have tried so hard to get here?)
2) Bae being Peter would make things far too easy. Kids generally don’t hold grudges as well as an adult. After the reunion it wouldn’t be long until Rumple had a Kid Bae back. And they and belle could all be a big happy family by the end of the session. I like Rumple and I want him to have his happy ending, but I want him to EARN it, and he has a LONG way to go.
3) Bae and Peter’s personalities don’t match up. Peter was a child who shied away from responsibility, craved adventure, and never wanted to grow up. Bae is almost the opposite.But I do trust K&H. If they do wind up playing it this way, i have a feeling it will still be EPIC even if it’s not what i want.
/ I agree. The mini hiatus and his “soonish” comment is really bugging me. I hope we get to see him before the Christmas break even if it’s just a little bit. *sigh*
On a slightly unrelated note, am I the only one who eventually really wants to see Bae (even if its’ not Neal) have to get the kill shot on an Ogre? Little Ironies.
I’m curious… is there a Photoshop guru on the boards? I wonder what would happen if you took pictures of the Rumple/Charming family and tried to do an age progression of Henry…

MRJ is what sold me to the whole thing. I’ve always been a big fan of Emma’s true love being Henry’s father (Bae) but I was kind of worried at the thought that they were going to have to try and give us something at least close to a Snowing relationship IN ONLY ONE EPP.
And honestly I was worried mostly on Jenny’s end. I haven’t seen much else with her in it and she’s so good at playing emotionally distant Emma, i was worried that that was more with the actress and that those two wouldn’t have much chemistry. 😆

But they nailed it. The reunion is going to be epic and I can already hear Florence & the machine’s “Kiss with a fist” playing in the background (at least on Emma’s part)…

Honestly, one of the reasions i’m most interested in this tipic is because i’m still trying to decide if i want Regina to teach Henry magic eventually.
I mean the kid has already got the beginnings of one of the most diverse skill sets on TV: charming’s teaching him how to be a prince/knight, MM will probably throw some archery in there, Emma and Neal got the con/thief thing covered and so why not throw in a little Magic?
But I don’t want that for him if it will wind up getting him addicted. I was thinking something of a just-because-I-know-how-doesn’t-mean-I-will kind of thing.
I’m big on the Neal as Bae thing so i found a couple things that might really point towards his real identity.

Another thing that may point to Neal being Bae is the in the Official podcast they were asked about what was in the box and (i really wish i had time to go look for an exact quote) they said:
“What you should be asking is what could August know that would make Neal give up on the girl he loves?” Or something like that.
What really struck me about that was that they used the word “Know” not “have” which means that the object itself was probably a lot less significant then what it meant. Another hint that it might be the picture of the dagger?
Another thing to consider in the epic debate of Neal=Bae yes/no, is that Neal has a bad case of sticky fingers, something that didn’t seem a problem for Bae.
But think about this for a moment.
I only have a couple semesters of Psychology under my belt so correct me if i’m wrong, but isn’t it possible that Bae could have developed that as a way to feel closer to his dad? I mean the last night Rumple was really Rumple was the night he did the only non-cowardly thing in his life. He and Bae broke into the Duke’s castle. So maybe it’s like he’s trying (even if it’s just subconsciously) to remember the last moment he really had his papa.
The next one is a bit more of a stretch, but still worth thinking about.
Robert has said that he does a different accent every time we see Rumple to show how long he’s been around and how Rumple wants to be perceived by those around him.
During the scene with Neal and August, after August mentions Emma, Neal immediately goes on the offensive…and that is the only time you hear the deep jersey accent. Once he dropped his guard down a bit, so didn’t the accent. Perhaps Bae was doing the same thing as his father (after all, isn’t the Jersey accent supposed to be one of the ‘together’ sounding?)
Again i’ll admit that it might be a stretch, but MRJ is serious enough about his acting that i could see him throwing that in there for us.
