If Neal is Bae he has plenty of nightmare fule in his life. Have you seen Bae’s letter from Untold Stories?
[adrotate group="5"]faux paxParticipantI know!!! That’s what is going to make the reunions so good. Can you imagine the big reveal between MRJ and Robert? The talent alone will set our screens on FIRE!! (maybe I shouldn’t watch that epp on my computer then… 😆 😆 )
Expecially given the point i made here: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1933&start=10
Sorry, the post was too long to retype and would seem slightly out of place if i copied and pasted.
But yeah, those two have a world of issues to work out…
faux paxParticipantRumplesGirl, You’re right, but some people REALLY don’t want to believe that until the show comes out and says it, and since we are an equal opportunity fandom…
faux paxParticipantThe sad part about it all is that everything comes back to Bae being the magic world’s whipping boy. Think about it. Rumple went darkside to keep Bae from fighting in a war that he was willing to fight in (he wouldn’t have liked it, but he didn’t really want to run from it). The dark one terrifies Bae so much that he has to run away (see his note from untold stories and possibly Neal’s quick response to when Emma explains dream catchers), but Rumple is too scared to come with him. Now Rumple has devised this curse to get back to Bae, and in turn winds up screwing up his son’s life AGAIN with magic.
It kind of reminds me of when Regina was asking for Gold’s help to save Henry in the Finale:
G: “all magic comes with a price”
R: “Henry shouldn’t have to pay it”
G: “No, you should, but alas we are where we are”It’s the same thing, but Bae has always been the one to pay for Rumple’s magic. It’s another thing that’s going to make their reunion so juicy. I really hope that Bae doesn’t reveal himself until after he finds out more of the ugly things Rumple/gold has done like risking Henry to bring back Magic (I kind of want the revelation about what happened to Millah to happen AFTER the reunion–it would bump whatever relationship they have been able to build back down into the negative numbers.
As for Blue, I really hope she is just reacting with skill to what life is handing her rather then actively manipulating things. I mean, splitting them up and later finding out about Henry (and then adjusting her plan accordingly) was one thing, but if she somehow wrote it into the spell or something like that…well that’s crossing a line i’m not sure i’m comfortable with.
Speaking of lines i’m not comfortable with, I hope they explain why Bae and Emma are OTLs and it better not have anything to do with BF or Rumple’s design (or Bae DNA getting on the curse parchment–as some have speculated). To me that just cheapens their relationship–makes it manufactured and inorganic–and they are just too cute together for that.
faux paxParticipantAnd anyone who hurt Emma won’t be popular with the majority of the SB residents. Maybe they’ll get bromantic if they end up having to shack up together on the outskirts of town.
I’m trying really hard not to make a FireWood joke here…but really, I don’t think the whole town will band together to hunt them down just because they hurt Emma. Snow, Charming, and their friends maybe, but not all of the town is that invested in her beyond the fact that she was the one to break the curse.
faux paxParticipantSo true. And to think I actually wanted a bromance between the two before “Tallahassee”.
I still want it…after Neal throws a few punches and Emma gets her claws into him because honestly, this show is REALLY lacking in the bromance department.
faux paxParticipantthe parallels between him and the Blue Fairy were very strong in what he did to Emma/Neal and what she did to Grumpy/Nova.
Another point to the idea that BF is the puppet master in this sense. I don’t like that she’s becoming so manipulative, but it’s interesting to see that Rumple isn’t playing chess against himself…

Rewatch it and pay attention to his face when Neal hands him the money and he’s talking about how Emma won’t need the money. August knows this is another of the “temptations” he won’t be able to resist.
I can’t wait to see how this plays out when Neal tries to explain himself. August might want dismantle all the woodchippers in storybrooke before Neal shows up…

August and Neal both appeared to not recognize each other. Therefore how would August know that whatever he had in the wooden box would convince Neal? To him, Neal was just a petty criminal from the Real World. So whatever he showed Neal in the box had to be recognized as universally magical in nature. That’s just my opinion and this show has a tendency to screw with your head. That being said, even though it may have been a universally recognized magical item, Neal could still have a connection to whatever it was and August just didn’t know it.
I completely agree. I kind of hope that August found out about the dagger from someone else (blue?) and never new that Neal was Bae. That would be a rather interesting twist.
faux paxParticipantI wouldn’t call him horrible. I would call him a douche though. Am I the only one that hopes he can start to make up for all the crap he’s pulled? I mean i know it won’t be easy, but if Regina and Rumple can pull it off…
