What kind of mother could abandon your young son (Bae must be 7-8 years old in this eps) to ran away with another man?

I think Millah was doing the right thing. Hear me out. She was misrible and had she had to give up her true love just to stay with Rumple just for Bae’s sake, she would have wound up hateing Rumple. What would it have done to Bae to see the fights esclate?
She obviously couldn’t take Bae with her. What kind of life is that for a kid, raised on a ship by pirates? (although I do smell a good fic in the making… 😎 ). She knew that Rumple loved Bae and, as cowardly as he was, he would give Bae the best life he could.
So yeah, i could see how in her mind she was doing the right thing. I was actually kind of disappointed that Rumple killed her, but it did give a tragic element to one of our villains, one we don’t see in Corra. And it means, as much as it might kill some fangirl’s hearts, I don’t think he can be redeemed. His true love is dead.
…Unless she wasn’t his one true love (how does that kind of thing work anyways?) and he winds up hooking up with ariel, no pun intended…

First off, I think I would feel cheated if he got sent to a world WITH magic. Second, Bae and Peter have vastly different personalities. Bae is kind and rather unselfish; Peter….well, not so much. Third; I don’t want the reunion between Rumple and Bae to happen when he’s a kid. For the drama to play out best, he has to have had a lot of time to let his hurt stew. And because people don’t age in Neverland, i’m thinking time doesn’t really pass the same either. If Bae was Peter he would never have grown up, never matured, and never really let that anger come to a boil.

I’m sure between what Milla and Smee could have told him, he would have more than enough to fill Bae in on. And wouldn’t it be that much more sweeter, in hook’s mind, for him to destroy Rumple figuratively before he ever moves in for the kill?
faux paxParticipantFavorite part: When Rumple told Belle about Bae, it was a real character breakthrough for him. I also liked when he realised he had the wrong hand…priceless. And I might be in the minority with this one though, I liked everything with Milla.
Least Favorite: The fight with Grumpy in the beginning and all the interaction between Rumple and Mo. I get both people’s perspectives, but you would think they would try and get along for Belle’s sake… I mean relationship 101: never ask someone to chose between two people they care about.

I mean her abandonment was before Bae could really remember her. And as bad as it was, I don’t think it was enough to kill her. I could totally see Bae telling Rumple that if she was happy he should have let her go. It really wasn’t too much different from what Bae did. He was trying to get away from the Dark One and she was trying to get away from the Coward. The only difference was that there was a way for Bae to get away from the Dark One without getting away from Rumple–Rumple was the one to mess that up–but there was no way for Miliha to get away from the Coward without getting away from Rumple.
faux paxParticipantI Hope MM as the white rabbit is just an allegory. It really seems like such a flat character to make such a big deal of…maybe if the was the cheshire cat, besides, wasn’t the rabbit seen running everywhere? They didn’t show that in the clip, in fact he seemed to be almost leisurely walking home. I just really feel that if they were going to have him be the WR, they would include that little detail. I mean it would be like introducing Peter Pan as he is playing poker with a group of drinking buddies and chain smoking cigars. And MM wouldn’t even have the curse as an excuse for his personality to be a little screwed.
sacric, great research and a really interesting theory, but i have to ask, why are you referring to MM as Neal? Has his name been released and I somehow missed it?
faux paxParticipantThe best part about FireWood is that no one takes it seriously. It’s like our own little inside joke…
faux paxParticipantIt seems like Bae as Henry’s dad is either something you love or hate.
That’s true, but the greatest thing about this show is that either way it goes, it still is going to be written Epicly. I mean for those who hate the theory, if it turns out to be true then the drama will be so juicy i think most people will like it (i’m not going to say all–some people are just impossible to please). If it turns out that he’s not, then even those who, like me, love the theory will be blown away by the truth. I doubt there will actually be a true loser in this particular argument, no matter who is wrong or right.
For people who hate the “Henry’s father is Bae” theory because they don’t like the thought that Bae turned into a lowlife, you have to remember that Emma was only 17 and grew up in troubled system. I don’t know if I completely agree with her side of the story.
That’s just it though, we only know her side of the story. Maybe there was more going on there that she didn’t know, or maybe she was judging the situation a bit too harshly because she was already so invested in it.
I know a lot of people don’t want them to go the whole “misunderstanding” route. i understand that (no pun intended) but nothing in life is black and white and that’s one of the things the show is best at depicting. I mean the big bads are some of the most popular characters because they are some of the most complex.
faux paxParticipantI don’t think Lancalot is dead either, at least i hope not. Was I the only one that started shipping Lanclot/Mulan until I found out he was really Cora…
faux paxParticipantUnless of course, snow and Emma stowaway on the ship and use it to get to Storybrook with them…
