I don’t see Rumple making that deal. Bae means everything to him and I assume that would extend to his children. And I don’t think Regina would want Rumple’s grandkid specifically. It would practically invite him to meddle far too much in her life and i can’t see her wanting that.
[adrotate group="5"]faux paxParticipantCora just…..I don’t know….she creeps me out….
I think what is so scary about her is that we know next to nothing about her. Rumple was the same way for me, but as we got to learn more and more about him, he started becoming a great character. I think that will happen with Cora as well. This show is great about giving every character multiple shades.
faux paxParticipantRumple will reply with something like, “he is the father of your son,” then the episode will end:D
If Bae is Henry’s dad, then Rumple CAN”T have known. Think about it, he is the one who got Henry for Regina. Do you honestly think he would have handed his grandson over to the EVIL QUEEN if he knew? He knows better than anyone what Regina is capable of…
And a lot of people seem to think Rumple can see the future. I’m not sure if he can or if he is just so good at manipulating people that it just seems that way, but if he can I want to see some limits on what he can and can’t see (we are beginning to get that–He didn’t know about what would happen when people crossed the boarder). Him not knowing about Henry would be perfect. and it could possibly add a lot of tension between him and Bae (not that they need anymore–but drama makes the fandoms go round).
faux paxParticipantI actually liked the last epp better–not that this one was bad–it’s just there was more build up and excitement for the last one. There were a lot of moments i loved, Rumple’s little hissy fit, “Can the nuns date?” JEFFERSON, Charming getting his spine back now that he has his memories, and Regina letting Henry go. I did kind of like how MM and Emma weren’t really in it. Now that the curse has been broken, i think it’s good that they show it as an ensemble cast rather than just about Emma’s role as savior.
All in all a really good epp, but I liked the last one better.
faux paxParticipantHere’s a thought. If Rumple wrote the curse to spare that one little corner of EF, maybe he did it so that the EF could eventually be “Healed.” Like if they had that one piece of it they could “grow” the rest back, or something like that.
I mean he designed the curse to get here and get Bae. I have always wondered about Rumple’s rationale for doing the things he did. Bae’s a compassionate kid and (assuming he hasn’t changed too much) i don’t think the fact that Rumple is finally here will override the people he has hurt to get here. But maybe, from Rumple’s point of view, if things can be put back the way they were, it would be like it was never destroyed to begin with,,,at least to Bea. Rumple’s not considering how things affect other people in this–he rarely does except how he can use them–so i think his plain won’t work quite as well.
Plus, he’s probably looking for a way to have his kid and his power too. He was strong in FTL and has taken a big power downgrade in Storybrook, even now that magic is back. Maybe he’s thinking that once he has Bae and EF is healed, he can go back to being this big powerful magician living with Bae (and Belle) at his side.
It’s not going to work the way he thinks it is, of course, but that may be what’s going through the twisted little imps mind.
faux paxParticipantPerhaps King George cast out Cora, when she was pregnant, not knowing if Regina was his child or not.
That would make Rumple’s dig to him in the shepherd all the more hurtful “Pity you and the [im assuming new] queen couldn’t conceive a child of your own,” it would also explain why Regina reminded Charming that he was just the son of a shepherd in “Broken.” And it would explain why Cora was so adamant that Regina became queen: it would be her birthright, even if it was over a different kingdom.
If that was the case, it would be interesting to know who knew what in the few scenes they have together…
and it would make Henry’s family tumbleweed all the more convoluted…
faux paxParticipantWas rewatching it this morning and had a thought:
Rumple mentions that he heald Regina when she was a baby, and Henry Sr. says that Cora knew Rumple before He ever knew her. Maybe that could point to Regina not being Henry’s by blood.
I kind of hope it’s not rumple, though. See post above.
faux paxParticipantIf Rumple turns out to be Regina’s dad….
That would seems out of character for him. I won’t deny there is some sort of connection–one deeper then we have yet seen–but i don’t think it would be that (as epic as it could have been). Rumple is extremely family oriented, and Regina has been little but a pawn to him. I don’t see how they could make her his daughter without making his actions in regard to her over the last season completely out of character.
faux paxParticipantOh? Are they combining those two legends? I had herd about one and didn’t connect it to the other.
faux paxParticipantMaybe Cora will go after Henry. Then we can see Charmings/Regina and possibly Gold (if Bae turnes out to be Henry’s dad) all team up to go after her. I so want to see those three groups team up…it would be epic and Cora wouldn’t stand a chance.
