You have an interesting point about the Bae/Rumple drama taking a back seat to the Bae/Henry/Emma drama. I hadn’t really though of it, but I agree with your concerns (although I am such a big fan of the Bae as Henry’s daddy theory, that i’d be more devastated it he wasn’t).
According to the first few episode synopsis, Emma and MM are going to be stuck somewhere outside of storybrook for a bit and the guy who is billed as the “mysterious man” is slated to appear in the first epp.
So what i think will happen–if they are going to try and balance both sets of drama–is that for the first couple of epps Emma and Bae don’t run into each other (see spoiler) giving the Bae/ Rumple drama time to unfold. When they do run into each other Emma won’t tell him about Henry and will try and keep the truth from both of them for a while more.
That drama will simmer on the back burner until the Bae/Rumple stuff settles, then the truth comes out. While they’re working on that, it somehow gets back to Bae that Rumple was the one to “Procure” Henry for the evil queen (probably Regina’s doing as a way to get back at Rumple), which makes Bae so mad, it sets their relationship back to square one, or worse.
That’s pretty much how i see the thing playing out, and if they do it well, it just might work. Any thoughts?
[adrotate group="5"]faux paxParticipantI was just going with the assumption that Bae is his dad.
faux paxParticipantAnother thing that having Bae be Henry’s daddy would do to the show is to force the fighting to get a bit creative. Think about it. The three main factions in Stroybrook are the Charmings, Regina, and Gold. With Henry considered in all three of them, they would have to be careful about what they did to each other so that Henry wouldn’t be caught in the middle.
faux paxParticipantI, personally, don’t really like the idea of Bae being Peter. It just doesn’t seem to fit his personality. Peter is impulsive and childish but Bae seems more cautious and rather mature for his age. Not only that, but, besides the faeries themselves, Peter is arguably the most magical person in Neverland (he is the only boy who can fly, after all). That doesn’t seem to fit with Bae, to me.
faux paxParticipantWether or not the session has more Rumple or Regina doesn’t make the idea the Frankenstein’s monster is Regina’s Daniel any more epic.
faux paxParticipantNot focused on it, no, perhaps that was the wrong choice of words, but you can’t deny they will play a much bigger part then before especially if Bae is Henry’s father. Besides, i would like to see more David/Regina interaction. What would his reaction be to the woman she has become and now that she has been down the dark road of vengeance, can she turn back to the light?
faux paxParticipantSo what if Dr. Whale IS Dr. Frankenstein and his monster is Daniel…as in Regina’s Daniel
Oh god, my brain just exploded!!! That would be epic and twisted and just…wow. It would even give Regina a chance for her own happy ending, but if that is the case, I kind of hope they save that for another season. With the list of things they have promised to cover this season (What happened to Bae, who wrote the book, and Henry's father, among others) it just seems like this one is completely booked for big plot lines. And honestly, Regina needs a big plot line for herself. Season one was about the Charmings, Season Two looks like it will be focusing on Rumple and his relationships. Hopeful season three will be about the Queen. (Oh dear. Season two hasn’t started yet, and we’re already talking about what may happen in three…there goes my social life. lol)
faux paxParticipantJosh dallis said this about Emma’s baby daddy “Emma only knew a certain percentage of the man” or something to that effect.
Now going with the idea that Bae is Henry’s father, that leads quite a bit of credence to the idea that he’s a very complex character. And with what Emma told MM about Henry’s father, Bae might just be something of an antagonist.
I can just imagine the Feels already.

I mean is hair color really all that important? I think Eion is doing awesome as August, despite the fact that he’s not a ginger. The question is, do you think the writers/directors or whoever does the casting should have turned him up just to cast someone with the right hair color even if their performance was–pardon the pun–a bit wooden?
And, yea, i know they could have dyed his hair, but I doubt Eion could pull off being a ginger.
faux paxParticipantInteresting point about the first name thing.
But the Facebook app just proved that Jefferson couldn’t be older than Regina. He’s only 29 and i’m sure she is older by at least a few years, but maybe the deal with Cora was made after she was born so Cora had to give up her second born?
