ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
If you look at there interaction in the last two episodes it seems to me like Jefferson wants to beleave that Regina will hold up her end (and i’m not sure it’s just about Grace–he’s smart enough to know it’s a long shot especially when she gives up the last bit of magic she has to get the apple) and at the same time Regina seems to think she can continue to string him around and he won’t bite back.
It kind of reminds me of the Arthur and Morgan dynamic in Camelot, for those of you who have seen it. Both of them seem to want to trust each other (at least really deep down) but by then Regina thinks that love and by extension trust is a weakness and Jefferson knows what kind of person she is.
This would also explain why Regina spent so much effort on Jefferson’s punishment after all for almost all of Storybrook they were just prevented from finding their happily ever after but Jefferson was actually punished.
Honestly i would love to see this come to fruition. It would be interesting to see Jefferson and Regina begin to sort of patch things up when everyone is against her. I can see Jefferson sort of being her friend while still being on Emma’s side.
Besides now that Malificent is dead, Regina will need a new frenime and no one fills that role better than family.
I’ve heard it said that only siblings could get under each others skin the way they do.
