FelieParticipant
So Elsa didn’t kill Helga as a child after all. We will see grown up Helga.
Grown Up Helga
Perhaps she has fire powers and was put into another urn? Either way, I’m intrigued to find out what happened to her. Whatever it was obviously causes the DQ some distress to talk/think about.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantI think Ingrid accidentally froze Helga and then her family turned on her, trapping her in the urn. I also think there’s a possibility that Helga can be saved. Perhaps by an act of TL by Anna towards Ingrid? Like, say, they find Helga’s ice statue and Ingrid breaks down and causes a storm, but Anna, despite all the things Ingrid has done to her, risks being frozen/attacked by Ingrid in order to offer some comfort, which would thaw Helga who would have to be raised by Ingrid… Idk, it sounds cheesy but I like the thought of this season’s villain being salvageable.
Plus, it’s totally an Anna thing to do, especially after it was her (understandable) distrust of Ingrid which led to these events.

Who is she saying that to? I can’t be sure but it looks like Rumple?

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantI can see Emma becoming hugely exasperated when it’s revealed that the Snow Queen just wants a family who loves her; “Ok Icy, listen carefully, because I am NOT going to say this twice – www-dot-Okcupid-dot-com. Or, you know… any bar in the country. Got it? Good.”

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantI’d also like to add that I believe (and correct me if I’m wrong) that the Jewish tradition of not cutting a boys hair for the first three years of life is because of Lilith; she apparently kills baby boys in their cribs, so to ward her off the parents must not cut their son’s hair in order to trick her into thinking that he is in fact a girl. I don’t think it’ll be relevant but it is interesting all the same.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantIt might be worth mentioning that in the CS Lewis tradition, Jadis–the White Witch who brings the long winter–is rumored to be descended from Lilith, at least in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. In The Magician’s Nephew, though, her origins are fleshed out a bit more but while that book is chronologically before Lion, Witch, Wardrobe, it was written toward the end of the Narnia cycle.
That makes sense, since Lilith is meant to be the mother of all demons, as was part of her punishment, iirc.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantIs it possible that the DQ is trying to de-age Elsa and Emma, as well as wipe their memories and replace them with new ones (i.e. she’s their mother)? It could explain why Elsa and Emma are missing their memories of her – she could have tried it before, and failed. The mirror may be a way to ‘turn back the clock’ on them, age wise (the DQ did say that mirrors are a ‘temporary receptacle for some tiny fraction of our soul’, maybe she’s trying to get to those tiny fractions and release them. Perhaps some of the mirror fragments came from mirrors belonging to Emma and Elsa?).

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantShe seemed to be wearing a key,
Also doesn’t the hat box have a lock on it? Hmmm…. This is so very curious T_T I just really hope she isn’t evil.
I hope she is. Once could do with an idga* kind of villain after two ‘all I need is love’ villains in a row. I hope she has no motives other than to get her hands on the hat and make people’s lives a misery.
A thought I had is that she could be the Sorcerer’s daughter who he banished to our world because she was side-eyeing the hat (and its power) too much (maybe she killed him for the hat but with his last dying breath he sent her here to keep her greedy hands off it). Or maybe there was a prophesy about her and he sent her away when she was young to protect the land. Perhaps she knew who Emma was as soon as she saw her, and saw Emma as a way to get back to the EF.
Lilith is a strong, independent woman who defied God by not submitting to Adam, and was punished harshly as a result. If Once’s Lilith is based on the Jewish myth they had better do her justice, because she’s one badda** lady imo.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantWhich is why I think his best option would be
His best option would have been to be honest with her and not dig himself into this hole in the first place. There’s no “better” way for him to get out of this now, he’s pretty much screwed.
Anyway, we don’t even know if Snow Queen would actually be a danger to Belle, depends on their history which we have no clue about yet. It could be that Belle would be a minor annoyance and SQ would humour her but not harm her. The real problem is that Rumple doesn’t want the gals to get chatty and for SQ to reveal that she and him go way back, because that’s something he’s been keeping from Belle and he’d be busted. So he’s putting the preservation of his secrets and lies over Belle’s need to set something right that she obviously feels passionate about. And he has the hide to say, “I gave you that dagger because I trusted you,” while he’s trying to talk her out of using it, making her feel bad for using it, but she’s not even really using it because she doesn’t even have the real thing, because he doesn’t trust her enough to be honest with her.
So while I don’t like that Belle’s resorting to using the dagger to control him, I can’t bring myself to be too pissed with her because she’s suffering through this situation because of lies he’s told that she’s believed simply because she wanted to believe that the promises the man she loves were making to her were true. God I hope she tears him a new one when she finds out everything he’s kept from her and lied to her about. She’s clearly upset over feeling like she has to use the dagger, she kinda hates herself for resorting to that, and the reason she’s feeling like that is because of crap he’s done.
When I say ‘Which is why I think his best option would be…’ what I mean is – if he wants to keep up this charade – his best bet would be to make a deal with the DQ; something she wants in exchange for her silence. Because I agree with you when you say
The real problem is that Rumple doesn’t want the gals to get chatty and for SQ to reveal that she and him go way back
I think it would have been best for him to be honest with her from the get-go too, but he wasn’t, and unless someone’s got a spare brain, heart, baby and physical-manifestation-of-courage lying around he ain’t gonna be able to undo this situation. He’s got several options – none of them good – and I think his best one would be to have a quiet chat with her royal iciness before Belle does.
He could always tell her the truth after this potentially dangerous situation has passed, because, as I said earlier, if he tells her the truth now all that will accomplish is Belle going off to see the DQ on her own. And as much as I doubt the DQ would harm Belle, you just never know.
"so there’s this new show….."
"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantI think he might actually confess to Belle the truth (then possibly wipe her memory, kind of like what Regina did to Henry in season 2). Rumple playing along is infinitely more dangerous to Belle since the Snow Queen is dangerous. If he confesses, then yeah Belle will be angry with him, possibly leave him (though I hope not for reasons) but at least she’d be safe and alive. Rumple has always been the type to let Belle go because he thinks she’d be happier and better off without him and is constantly surprised when she chooses to be with him. I think a darker Belle is a much more interesting story and would be a real wake up call to Rumple rather than Belle leaves him and cue the angst until they make up.
She looks extremely determined in the promo, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she went off to confront the DQ on her own if your scenario were to happen. Remember, she’s gone off on dangerous missions on her own before, so why would this time be any different, especially since the reason for this mission seems to be causing her great anguish.
He either needs to play along or wipe her memories, because it looks unlikely that Belle is going to let this go, and telling her the truth won’t accomplish much in keeping her safe, since (as I’ve said) that will probably just lead to her going off to confront the DQ on her own, with the additional bonus of possibly ending their marriage. Which is why I think his best option would be to get to the DQ and initiate a deal with her so that she keeps her icy lips tightly shut in front of Belle, or disappears for a while.
