FelieParticipant
I wonder how Rumple is going to get out of this situation? His choices are either confess to Belle or play along and take her to the Snow Queen? Both are things he really doesn’t want to do. This episode is going to be so intriguing. I have hope for RumBelle, they’re relationship is built on more solid ground than “because pixie dust said so”.
I think his best bet would be to play along, freeze Belle again, and make a deal with the DQ so that she doesn’t say anything which may give the game away to Belle.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantLike I said, if she had reason to. We don’t quite know what’s up with DQ yet–she’s idly threatened people but not really perturbed when they get away.
Yeah, I think she just kind of sees people as nuisances, but when they’re out of her way she doesn’t care. She’s not actively gone after anyone yet, with the exception of Marian who she was just using as a prop in her plan to frame Elsa, and Emma who she just stalked for a few minutes. She didn’t really care that Regina and Emma left alive, because they’re of no consequence to her as long as they aren’t messing her plans up.
She seems like quite a complicated character, even if her ‘I want a family’ thing is actually a really simplistic and basic desire. Elizabeth Mitchell is really making the character her own, owning every scene she’s in, and I think at least 75% of the character’s appeal is down to her acting (10% writing, 15% wardrobe!) 😛

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantOh, yes, he’s got LOTS of reasons for her not to chase after DQ. We know DQ has something he wants, and that she has some kind of history with him. But he’s also accurate about her being potentially dangerous–just last episode she made moves that plausibly threatened both Emma’s and Regina’s lives, and they didn’t win without Elsa’s help. Rumple knows a lot more about DQ than we do, so it’s quite plausible that she’d hurt Belle if she had reason to.
She’d be pretty stupid to do something like that! And surely she would know it too, being an acquaintance of the Dark One and all.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantAs for Rumple’s hesitancy–well, he’s always been reluctant to help out if there’s nothing in it for him, no matter who is asking. He is a bit of a greedy imp, even if ultimately he’s driven by love. Belle’s given him no justification here, just a “I’m going so help me or I’ll make you.” His reaction feels perfectly IC.
Belle’s may be, too, once we know what the secret is and why it’s so important to her.
I thought he might be rejecting her pleas for help because he doesn’t want the Snow Queen spilling any secrets to Belle. They do know each other after all (the SQ has connections to both Belle and Rumple), and I’m guessing whatever lies in their collective past is something that would not go down well with Belle (especially if the secret involves the death of her mother!).

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantI’ve just had a thought! This whole situation could end up turning Rumple’s hallmark deal-making on its head – Rumple may need to go to the DQ and ask her to make a deal, so that she plays along with Bell’s little mission without anyone getting hurt. Belle could end up digging Rumple into an even deeper ditch than she thinks.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantCrack theory – DQ’s mirror had the power to reveal her true love, and it revealed Zelena, along with a future full of happiness and kids, that they were meant to have together. When she found out about Zelena’s death she used the mirror to watch what should have been her future until she was driven insane (like the mirror of Erised), which is why she’s only just come out of the woodwork now.
She smashed the mirror in a rage one night, but in her desperate panic to fix it again she discovered a spell to combine different, powerful mirrors, that would enable her to reach into the past and save Zelena, thus saving her own future too.
The mirror showed her what was meant to happen, had everything gone to plan. But then Rumple went and butchered Zelena so… oh well :/

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantDid anyone else think that perhaps Lily’s family is abusive/neglectful? She did seem extremely upset when her father found them. Children from abusive neglected homes don’t always feel safe telling people about the abuse/neglect.
It could be that she thought Emma was a way out of her situation.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantMaybe Lily is the Black Fairy, exiled to the World Without Magic? But in season 4B Emma tracks her down and brings her to SB, where she is reunited with her wand and magic.

"there’s lesbians in it"FelieParticipantI said this in another thread, but I’ll put it here too –
Why doesn’t she just breed though? Like, I’m sure you can get a ton of love from 10 kids after squeezing them out of you. Just, idk, have a few one-night-stands, or something? I’m pretty sure the human race has managed to manufacture love on an industrial scale without magic since the beginning.

Umm… what? This is getting interesting.
Plus, is it me or is the DQ the most adorable evil person ever? ‘All I want is a family to love me.’ <- Cuteness, right here.
