Frozen QueenParticipant
A first look at Elsa and the Snow Queen! (From EW) They certainly look enough alike to be related, perhaps even mother and daughter. Also, did you notice that the Snow Queen is wearing a snowflake pendant? It reminds me of the snowflake necklace that Elsa gave to Anna.

Frozen QueenParticipantReally, if Elsa was adopted and the Snow Queen is her biological mother, then adoption would be something else Elsa and Emma having in common.
Yes. Spoilers reveal that Snow White and Elsa connect on a powerful level. I believe Snow White will help Elsa to understand how her birth mother could have possibly given her up for adoption, since Snow White gave up Emma to give her her best chance. Also, the article reveals that the Snow Queen has her sights set on Emma for a particular reason. Jennifer Morrison has also revealed something from her past will impact everyone in town. Probably, that past includes the Snow Queen.

Frozen QueenParticipantWhy, if the Ice Queen has been in SB all this time, would she only just decide to come out of the woodwork now? Wouldn’t she have had her powers back for a while now? And wouldn’t a Queen want revenge for being reduced to an ice cream shop owner (a little humiliating imo)?
I think she is the Snow Queen from the story by Hans Christian Anderson. Perhaps she was content to lay low until the right time presented itself for her to get what she wants. What does she want? One possibility is that the Snow Queen wants Elsa. Why? Because the Snow Queen is really Elsa’s birth mother. My theory is posted here.

Frozen QueenParticipantHere is my theory. I think that Elizabeth Mitchell’s character is the Snow Queen who gave up her infant daughter, Elsa, to Rumplestiltskin for mysterious but sympathetic reasons. Rumplestiltksin then made a deal with the king and queen of Arendelle, who adopted Elsa, thinking they were unable to have a child. Later, Anna came along as a welcomed surprise. The king and queen never told Elsa she was adopted nor how she came by her powers. Unbeknownst to Elsa, she inherited her magic from her birth mother, the Snow Queen, who lived in Misty Haven. That is where Elsa’s adoptive mother and father were headed in a ship when the storm hit, to seek help and understanding about Elsa’s uncontrollable power. The queen of Arendelle wrote a note to Elsa, telling her she was adopted, who her birth mother is, and then sealed the letter in a bottle. Years later, Anna set out on a mission to find out what happened, when she came across the Snow Queen, who then froze or apprehended Anna, for some unknown reason. Elsa will somehow discover the letter in a bottle from her adoptive mother and will then learn the identity of the Snow Queen, who is now in Stroybrooke, as well as the location of her adoptive sister, Anna.
