Hard to rebuild a civilization with two women…
I’ve been wondering if this Mulan might actually be a man. (Not the actress, of course.) It’s just that the writers do like to put their own spin on the old stories…

I suppose Aurora’s mother could still be the original Sleeping Beauty, but Aurora’s father can’t be the prince from that tale.

Gold was on the verge of getting back his power and (he thought) his son. Letting himself be close to Belle could have ruined those plans.

Might Charming meet other people this way as he is trying to navigate through the rooms (or fleeing from something).
Who wants to bet that Charming’s real name is Virgil?
Also, they sometimes refer to the Netherworld as a “nether land”, and that sounds a lot like something else that we’re expecting to see this season.

That barrier is an awfully tempting problem-solver. In all of Storybrooke, there must be many people who were enemies in Fairy Tale Land. They’d be pushing each other across the barrier all the time, telling themselves “It’s not really murder”.

It could be a nod to Remembrance Day:
I wonder if they originally meant to show this episode a little closer to November 11th.

Rumple has this odd habit of introducing himself, which is odd given the original fairy tale. So I don’t think the miller’s daughter is going to guess his name. That wouldn’t fit with how Rumple presents himself.
Maybe Rumpel is deliberately short-circuiting the magical clause that grants people power over him if they guess his name. By telling everybody his name, he ensures that nobody can guess it.

I’m thinking there’s an Abel-and-Cain situation there. Victor doesn’t just miss his brother; he’s obsessed with overcoming his brother’s early death. Maybe Dr. Victor Henry Jekyll Frankenstein had to stop his murderous brother William Edward Hyde Frankenstein by any means necessary and hasn’t been able to shed the guilt.

What happens if Ruby leaves town while transformed? No magic on the other side of the line, presumably, so I’m guessing she’d revert to human, but maybe the memory curse was never programmed to recognize her wolf form.

They need a test pilot for the new portal…
