GaultheriaParticipant
This episode plays like a real (ie, cautionary) fairy tale. Robert did try to abduct a boy away from the only father the boy knew, so at the end of the tale Robert got payback for his crime, with interest.

GaultheriaParticipantTo my ear, these sound like generic placeholder titles. “The Final Battle” would be a good title for a season opener, though.

It worked in the movie.

GaultheriaParticipantBut in the meantime, the TV Grim Reaper has upped OUAT’s chances of renewal from 50% to 55%. This is due to the news over the weekend that several cast members are in negotiations.
Is that a real increase? I thought the Reaper was just getting rid of the 50% rating:
After Riverdale was renewed last week while the reaper was holding it at a “50% renewal” prediction (earning the reaper his second “draw” prediction of the season), he’s eliminated all his “50% renewal” predictions. He doesn’t want to take another “draw” while he’s “waiting”.

GaultheriaParticipantHe didn’t after Robert left Rumple threw the hair on the ground and said something like small items can mean big things in that sarcastic tone of voice. He was just putting on a show because he saw himself in Robert.
Rumpel’s actions in that scene also suggest that Robert did not really have true love in his life — not true romantic love with Ruth, nor true parental love for the boys — otherwise Rumpel should have kept the hair for a backup of the true love hair spell.
Maybe a person has to be oblivious to personal guilt, like Charming and Snow, in order for his or her love to be pure.

GaultheriaParticipantWHY WAS HIS GHOST APPEARING TO DAVID?
I think Hook got it right when he told David to get some sleep. Although David can stay awake by not kissing Snow, and can use the extra time awake to obsess over the coin, it’s like that Star Trek TNG episode where everybody started hallucinating because they couldn’t enter the right stage of sleep to clear the fatigue poisons out of their brains.
As for why the ghost hallucination appeared like a flickering video effect with scan lines, men living on their own watch a lot of TV.

March 13, 2017 at 2:52 am in reply to: 6 X 12 MURDER MOST FOUL – – What was your favorite and least favorite moments #334190GaultheriaParticipantI liked the scene in Rumpel’s palace up until (but not including) the “Someday, may we all be reunited with our sons” line. His performance leading up to that point, with the little hesitations and all that, conveyed his torment powerfully. To add that great big clue hammer of a line to the end of that scene was as counterproductive as a comedian explaining the punchline of a joke he’s just told.
Since returning stolen hearts is trivially easy (hold heart in hand, say “Come to my vault and get your heart; leave torches and pitchforks at home”), I have to assume that Regina has already tried that with all of the hearts, and that the hearts still in the vault belong to people stuck in other realms.
Six-year-old James seemed like such a nice kid that I thought the twins were going to switch places. Could’ve happened, if Robert had managed to get James home just in time for King George to show up and take David. Then Ruth comes in from the field, and Robert has to call James “David” to spare Ruth’s feelings. David grows up with emotional problems from this early trauma, James grows up with a loving mother and forgets his real name (and as an adult learns to hate his own real name because he thinks it’s his brother’s name), and Robert can’t live with the deception. King George, of course, found true love with a peasant girl named Ruth once upon a time, but was unable to marry her because of politics and class boundaries, so he had to abandon her while she was pregnant. George knows James is his child, doesn’t know about James’ twin, and hates Robert for winning the hand of the woman he wanted. That’s the way it really happened, despite the fake news we saw tonight.

March 9, 2017 at 1:14 pm in reply to: Deadline 3/8/17: Andrew J. West Cast In ABC Fantasy Drama #333972GaultheriaParticipantThere’s been speculation on this forum that the series will end with Emma having another child and starting a new chapter in her life. With the uncertainty about contracts and season 7, this new actor could be for a flash-forward to Emma’s “happily ever after”.
I mean like “Sleeping in Light” or “All Good Things” (B5 and ST:TNG). A finale, not a replacement cast.
If season 7 gets the green light, then we can have flashforwards instead of flashbacks.

March 8, 2017 at 12:13 pm in reply to: did anyone watch TIME AFTER TIME … new show after ONCE? #333914GaultheriaParticipantAlso, new shows should not have two hour premiers.
After seeing the ratings for Timeless (the better show, in my opinion), I wonder if the network just wants to burn through the episodes without giving Time After Time a chance.
