The usher’s accent and tone of voice (“Don’t”) reminded me of Socha. And the usher’s uniform is scarlet. If the usher is an avatar for Merlin, then maybe Will will turn out to be one, too.

I think Eeeeeevul Emma at the end of the episode would be bragging about murder or whatever, instead of erasing everyone’s memory of it. Something else is going on, and the Dark One is not in control of it.

The “Wookiee prisoner” line was funny on its own, but why oh why did they not follow it up with Hook telling Zelena “I’m Luke Skywalker; I’m here to rescue you!”?

What a missed opportunity! I thought the markings on Excalibur looked like those on the dagger; it would have been fun to wonder about it for a week or two. Fandom runs on speculation like that.

I’d say Slytherin for Snow, because she was an aristocratic little bigot when she was of sorting age. Belle would be Slytherin, too — the Slughorn kind — because she likes to influence the rich and powerful.
Ravenclaw gets Henry Jr. (he solved the puzzle of the town) and August (his story resembles Helena Ravenclaw’s).
For Hufflepuff, I’ll say Zelena and Cora, for being so committed to caring for their parents that it ruined them. (Yeah, just like Merope, but I think Merope didn’t have enough ambition to be chosen for Slytherin despite her heritage — and I think Marvolo’s treatment of her backs this up.)
Gryffindor gets Hook (arrogant and loyal, like James and Sirius). Lily would be Gryffindor, too, cursed with a dose of pure evil grafted onto her soul, carrying a distinguishing mark, raised as an orphan until a weird ragged guy told her an incredible story that explained everything.

Is there a reason for the standoffish manner with the boy?
Looking at this through the “Sneaky Dumbledore is sneaky” filter, I think Dumbledore might have wanted to stack the deck: let the kid have an awful life in the muggle world so that his dangerous destiny in the wizarding world will seem preferably when the time comes.
