I think he is not going to be in 5A, and he will probably wake up in 5×11, which will be the 100th episode.
Thus mirroring the first scene of the pilot episode. Yeah, I think that’s a strong possibility.

Was the scene in Snow’s council chamber the writers’ way of saying “We’re sorry we picked on Happy earlier this season”, or was it “Just because we didn’t, this time, doesn’t mean we can’t”?

He has to EARN redemption, not get darkness sucked out of him.
I didn’t get the sense that this was meant as redemption, just a closing of accounts or something like that. Rumpel is no better off now than before the hat treatment. Since good hearts on OUAT are bright red, Rumpel’s white heart is just as “wrong” as it was when it was black.

Speculate: where did Emma go?
She’s off in the wilderness, being tempted.
Rumpel gave in right away to the temptation to use the Dark One’s power; he could walk fine as soon as his name was on the dagger. If Emma holds the power but refuses to use it (like Henry and the quill), then it might not be able to change her personality. But she’ll always have to be on guard.

Quick question…how did the villains win when Rumple was the only one happy?????!!!!!!!!
In OUAT, real villains don’t want to be happy, they just want the heroes to fall. A villain who starts thinking about happiness is halfway to redemption already (according to the show’s apparent rules).

I think Arthur is her father. That would make Lily a princess and be another way for her life to mirror Emma’s. Plus, Lily would be the Pendragon heir.

It would be super fast character development but I think I’d prefer that to everyone going back to the status quo which was my fear about an AU in the first place: no lessons are learned because the board is reset at the end.
That’s why I hope that we’ve been watching the AU all along, and that we and the characters are going to get a glimpse of how they would have been in the prime universe. I think their lessons would have more of a lasting impact that way.

Isaac has been meddling for a long time. I hope the AU with all of its role-reversals will be the result of him unmaking his changes.
