GaultheriaParticipant
Someone’s going to be turned into an oak tree.

GaultheriaParticipantI think this quote from the Doctor Who (2005) episode “Boom Town” applies very well to the “How to judge Rumpel by his actions” question:
DOCTOR: You let one of them go, but that’s nothing new. Every now and then, a little victim’s spared because she smiled, because he’s got freckles, because they begged. And that’s how you live with yourself. That’s how you slaughter millions. Because once in a while, on a whim, if the wind’s in the right direction, you happen to be kind.

I didn’t see any magic chocolate bars, so there was probably something in the ice cream.

GaultheriaParticipantThe metaphor I took from it is that a page on its own is a sad, incomplete thing, even if it has a pretty picture. A complete life is better than a one-page dream (or something like that; some lives are really awful).
On another note, the book is still missing the page at the end that Emma and Henry tore out of it at the beginning of season 1, right? Kind of silly for Regina to want to change the book when she doesn’t know how it ends.

GaultheriaParticipantThe means, motive, and opportunity are already in place: I’m hoping Henry opens the blood-magic seal on the safe in the shop and uses the dagger to protect his mom from Rumpel. He could become the first Dark One who didn’t do it for personal gain.

Snow and David have this feedback loop going on now where they control each other’s behaviour, so out-of-character stuff is bound to happen. Or at least that’s my take on the shared heart.

They’ll explain it as suspended animation. Ingrid needs to pass most of 30 years without ageing, too.

GaultheriaParticipantIt was clumsy, too. No finesse. They could have said “What does Emma have against happiness?”, and it would have applied to much of her behaviour in-show while at the same time being a still tacky but better-disguised nudge-nudge to those who know about the real-world stuff.

GaultheriaParticipantAre we expected to root for [Ingrid’s] downfall? Because all I see is a desperate character who needs to be helped as well as stopped, but I fear the writers won’t let her live to receive the help she needs.
Ingrid needs to be helped as well as stopped, but the town of several tens of thousands just needs for Ingrid to be stopped. Sensitivity isn’t a priority to the victims and their protectors when a mad(wo)man is holding a gun and is using it.

GaultheriaParticipantWatcher, I would suggest starting with something slow and simple. Buy some light colored yarn (like a blue)
Yeah, you need a colour that lets you see the individual stitches in the lighting conditions that you’ll be working under. Light-coloured yarn is a lot easier to work with than dark yarn in dim artificial light.
Variegated (self-striping) yarn can also help, and it’s interesting to see how the colour bands align in the finished work (wide stripes, narrow stripes, abstract blobby shapes,…).
