With the feelings of guilt about her mother and Anna still fresh in her mind, Belle’s volunteering to go to jail for the rest of her life is easier for me to believe now.

GaultheriaParticipantIn the Manhattan flashback, one of the soldiers said something along the lines of “When the ogres rip you limb from limb, pray that they are quick”. I doubt the ogres would suddenly be considerate just because they are faced with a woman.
Oh, that’s just war propaganda.
Hmm… We don’t know much about ogres. They can be violent, but they’re probably fighting for the survival of their species; creatures that big have a perilous position in the food web, especially when humans start changing the landscape.

GaultheriaParticipantSpeaking of Arendelle, Anna is starting to get on my nerves. She’s got some spunk to her, like when she when faced off with Rumple, but then she needs a big strong guy to climb up a mountain.
That might just be how Anna relates to gloomy women such as Belle. Elsa was the somber serious one, and so Anna grew up being the cutesy playful one, and she hasn’t had much time to grow out of that.

GaultheriaParticipantA few weeks ago, I thought I would like the Snow Queen plot, but now I’ve had enough of the Evil Luna Lovegood act. The intelligent dreamy babbler works as a supporting character, but like a laxative: for occasional use only.

GaultheriaParticipantAre some of those runes real? Some parts jumped out of the screen as English letters with extra bits (“savior” and “Emma” in particular). It reminds me of the “blinkenlichten” pseudo-German warning on computers.

GaultheriaParticipantThis sounds like the three sisters from Heroes. One of them had ice powers, one was a mom (I think she died, too), and one was missing. And there were actually kind of four of them, too, if you count the two personalities one of them had.

GaultheriaParticipantDare I hope that they might actually do a Mirror Universe plot? Maybe an entire season 4B? Yeah, it’s a trope, but it’s one of the best!

Moe sounded as if he was lying when he told Belle the “truth” — ie, what she would easily believe — about her mother. There should be more to that story, like Belle’s mother abandoned her or something similarly Game-of-Thrones-ish. (Oh, they won’t do that, but I can still have faint hope.)

GaultheriaParticipantFrankly, I am using by now browser extensions to keep this forum bearable for me, but that means blocking all images at the moment as basic setting, only unblock in seldom case of photos directly concerning discussion, set photos, spoiler pictures. If everyone else is happy with things as they are, okay, than I am happy about my browser extensions.
You’re not alone. I agree that there’s way too much visual noise here. An occasional image is okay, but this forum overdoes it like cake with 3 inches of icing. Adblock helps a bit, but it’s an ongoing nuisance to configure, and it’s not available on Safari for iOS. A stripped-down mobile interface — with the option to disable inline and signature images — would be fantastic; I’d use it all the time.

GaultheriaParticipantGaultheria, have you ever done “magic loop”. I did it for the body of the gloves and using DNPs for the fingers. I prefer my DPNs but I do love it when doing two things at a time. I suffer badly from “one sock syndrome” and magic loop is really nifty to get a pair of mittens or socks done at in one swoop. But I do like going back to the DPNs, and people seem really impressed in public at maneuvering four sticks at one time.
Heh, I know what you mean about people being impressed with the DPNs. The work in progress looks like it’s constantly in danger of falling apart.
I gave magic loop a very brief try a few years ago, but the cable kept getting in the way, and I didn’t like how I had to move my arms more than with the DPNs. I mostly knit continental style (yarn in left hand), too, to minimize the amount of fidgetting required. But I’d like to try magic loop again.
Ever use a set of 5 DPNS? I find it’s much more comfortable to work with than 4.
