Nawww, the plan isn’t murder, it’s baby-swap, and it already worked. Zelena is the Charming baby.

Emma or Regina might be able to remove the curse, so Hook needs to tell Emma what happened. Besides, it should be Emma’s decision as to whether or not she is “allowed” to kiss Killian…..even if the cost is her magic. Yes, they need to deal with the WWW, but this decision needs to be hers. Not the town’s, not her parents, not Henry’s, not Regina’s, not even Killian’s, and certainly not Zelena’s!

Nope, no way. Killian can unilaterally decide that someone isn’t allowed to kiss him. Every man has the right to set that limit, just like every woman has that right.

I think villains are creepier when they come to their decisions rationally. They’re more “reflective”, in a distorted funhouse mirror kind of way, of the (as we like to think of ourselves) rational audience. Rational villains such as Pan and Rumpel make us ask ourselves “How far would you go?”. Fugue villains such as Zelena and Regina aren’t quite in touch with the world around them, and though that still makes them dangerous plot devices to the other characters within the story, they don’t give the audience any opportunities for introspection.

That being said, Zelena hamming it up like Skeletor is a lot of fun to watch.

If Zelena told the truth, then I’d say she’s making a mistake. Thinking back to Terminator Emma outside the restaurant in 1.01 (“one oh one”, get it?), she’s way more of a threat if she fights non-magically than if The Force is with her.

Yeah I agree, especially about Zelena hating Regina. It came out of NOWHERE. Why not Cora??

It could’ve just been the first coherent thought that popped into her head after her sense of self had been shattered. The seed for her new identity. I think most people wouldn’t react that way, but the show depicts magic as like a drug, and Zelena has high levels of magic in her system all the time.

Zelena’s subconscious is in control of the magic — her skin turning green, her comment after the handkerchief appeared — and her conscious mind can direct it somewhat but can’t really tame it. By hating Regina, Zelena can feel that she’s at least in control of something. I think Cora would be a difficult target for that rage because Zelena has positive associations with the notion of “mother”, since her adoptive mother was kind to her. Since she didn’t have any siblings in her Oz family, she never developed any empathy for the concept of “sister”.

perhaps they visit the well of wonders and use the water to undo her wickedness and envy…

I think they have to at least address that option, even if it’s just a line of dialogue. I’d like to hear Rumpel say “No, even I don’t dare steal from Nyx”.

They’re using “wicked” too much. If they’d used that word just once, at the right time, it would have had a much more powerful effect.

It could also tie in with this episode’s theme of emotion as fuel for magic.

My guess is that later this season Emma will perform a task that requires really good aim, and they need to establish that she can.
