starting with the bad: – The CaptainFireSwan love triangle and particular Neal and Hook squabbling in the Dark Hollow. Really? Dear writers, do you really want to feed some “boys are boys and stupid lovesick males on steroids” stereotypes?

Maybe Neverland does more than just stop people from ageing; it could be turning back the clock.  First it affects the mind, then (if they stay long enough) the body.  I think this fits with the hints that Pan is Rumpel’s father; Pan certainly knows Rumpel from way back, but to me their conversations don’t sound at all like sibling talk.

If Henry truly does have the heart of the TRUEST believer, then why does he believe in Pan’s lies and not the TRUTH?

Emma loves Henry above all else, so in that sense Henry has Emma’s heart.  I think Emma is the truest believer, and that the purpose of the quest is to teach her to believe fully.

The animated TV series ReBoot had several opening title sequences from different characters’ perspectives.  Wouldn’t it be neat if Once Upon a Time did that?

How did Wendy get to NL?

Did Wendy ever get back from Neverland that first time? There are several shadows, and at least one of them can impersonate people.

    35.  Telling a lie isn’t a one-time deal, it’s a commitment to telling it again, and again, and again…

I’m not sure what Amara’s aim was other than to be powerful, but I think Jafar’s plans have more to do with his mother than his father. I think he wants to bring his mother back to life have he lost her tragically at a young age.

I think Jafar would have talked more about his mother if she was the focus of his plan. He talked about his father in strong terms, and I’m assuming that’s who is in the other cage (and who has not already been killed out of revenge). Jafar has always wanted his father to love him; that’s the law of magic that he’s planning to rewrite.

Silly Jafar, betraying his lover and trapping her in a form where she has nothing to do but plot revenge.

Maybe it’s that the past, present, and future all happen at the same time, and Pan knows how to look at it from that perspective, while Rumpel doesn’t.

I don’t mean that Regina needs to give up hope (in the sense of giving in to despair).  But she’s lost the right to decide her own fate, so going out on her own terms like she intended to do in the finale still seems like denial of responsibility.

    2) Why set it up that Regina is the only one to feel her situation is hopeless, unless the point is that someone must give her hope?

I think Regina’s destiny is to move beyond hope.  There can be no redemption for her many murders, and there’s no chance for a happily ever after, but she can still grow up and serenely accept what she’s sown.  Part of that can mean accepting Henry’s love and Snow’s forgiveness, and even Robin’s regret for what might have been.  Spending the rest of her life in prison would be sad, but the greater tragedy would be for her to remain as she is, always blaming others for her actions and misfortunes.
