From what I gathered from Blackbeard—-hook defeated blAckbeard and got the joy roger. Blackbeard had to walk the plank. Ariel saved him. Hook thought he had killed Blackbeeard but didnt. Hook traded the Jolly Roger to Urdula or Hans for a magic bean. Blackbeard bought or traded for the Jolly Roger. Blackbeard was then hired by Hans to get Anna. Does anyone die anymore?

I think Regina is going to be the one to figure out that hook does not have a heart. She is very tuned into dark magic. I also think that Bell is going to be the one to tell everyone that rumple has not changed and will separate from

I think the author of the book is the blue fairy. Rumpelstiltskin represents the evil balance of magic and blue fairy the good. Rumpelstiltskin will kill the blue fairy or put her in the hat.

Oooor perhaps because there was so much love involved in the original use of the ribbons she may be able to do something with them so that the wearers will be immune to the curse from the mirror.

I wonder if the hat and what Dairyqueen told gold all ties into a later episode titled Heroes and Villains. Maybe to free himself, Gold must free all the Villains trapped in the enchanted forest and other places. Maybe it has something to do with the magic balance of good and evil in storybrooke & enchanted forest. Too many heroes have happy endings which would tie into Regina’s quest. I just think Hook is a minor character in terms of power for it to be so simple as kill hook to free gold of the dagger. Gold could have killed hook at anytime.
