ParticipantA Chipped Cup –
You’re right….K&H said in a podcast, back in May – Mr. Gold did not have his memory back until he heard Emma say her name at Granny’s B&B.
Would be why he asked Snow for the baby’s name and why he wrote it over and over again.
Another one of his ‘safety valves’ written into the curse.

ParticipantBy the same token, the Aesthetic Apparatus/Red Hand poster can be linked to Stephen King…Aesthetic Apparatus is a printing compny who also did the poster for SK’s “The Shining”.
As with the dream catcher…also can be linked to SK’s “Dreamcatcher”.
The keyhole pattern on the desk, again, SK’s “The Wind Through the Keyhole”.
The cameras…..Sk’s “The Sun Dog”…which is about a haunted camera and characters in the book are referred to as ‘The Mad Hatters’.

ParticipantFairy dust –
MTA is not the name of NY City’s subway.
It stands for Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
They oversee all transportation in NY City –
Subway system, buses comapnies…they regulate fares and oversee bridges and tunnels, etc.The fact that Peter Pan was mentioned in the MTA pic you posted (in your other theory about this),
makes me think the clue is more slated towards the Peter Pan Bus Co. rather than the subway. The PP Bus clue goes hand in hand with the ‘Further’ bus that the real Neal drove from San Fransisco to NY City and is referred to in the Grateful Dead song as the bus to Never Never Land.

ParticipantI think we will actually see Peter Pan.
He’s Adam’s favorite character.K&H said in a past interview, that they weren’t able to get the rights to PP, so, Hook was on their shelf.
Given the fact that Hook has now made an appearance, and in a more recent interview, K&H said there’s a chance we’ll be seeing PP, so, I’m thinking they gained the rights.gypsy

The MTA connection is neat π
Peter Pan Bus Company is part of the MTA (Metro Transit Authority) and has been in sevice in NY City since the 1930’s. I found that clue a while ago and it is posted along with TheGoldenKeys theory on Bae/Neal/Peter Pan.
I thought you’d be interested in knowing that, since Peter Pan was mentioned in your clue π

The reason I bring up Stephen King’s Dark Tower is because he uses the exact premise as Jefferson’s quote that you posted.
Worlds touch each other and have their own rules.
In the novel, our world exists without magic, but, has one of the ‘thinnies’ (portals) – kinda like the tree in our world that Emma and Pinocchio came through. When Rumple let’s Bae fall into the vortex, it is a scene taken directly from the DT:
Roland (father figure) let’s go of Jake’s hand (for his own selfish reasons) allowing him to fall into the abyss. (Jake, btw, ends up in ‘1977 /NY’ – Neal Cassady connection).Medchen suggested that imagination is a form of magic. I agree. Novel’s can take ppl to other worlds through their imagination.
I wasn’t trying to say our world has magic like the EF or Wonderland. But, if fairy dust powers the world, in our world, it would be imagination.
And fairy dust seems to have the power to change the rules of any given world….look what happened when some fairy dust found it’s way to a dwarf egg…dwarfs don’t fall in love… but Dreamy/Grumpy did πI tend to think Stephen King’s influence plays a part on OUAT as it did with LOST.
I know, ppl see what they want to see, but, somethings are too blatant to be ignored.Jefferson lives in the house used in SK’s The Dead Zone.
The famous “Wheel of Fortune” carnival spinning wheel from DZ is in Jefferson’s livingroom. Those connections are why I think Jefferson wrote Henry’s book, but, that’s a theory for a different thread.
ignored.Jefferson lives in the house that was used in SK’s the Dead Zone and the famous “Wheel of Fortune”

ParticipantBF said “….most precious substance in all the land…powers the world.”
I am just trying to make sense of the different terms.
We’ve heard realm, land, world and worlds.
Taken in context, those major characters (except for the BF) are referring to Storybrooke when speaking of a land without magic.Emma: Hereβs the thing, Jefferson β this is it. This is the real world.
Jefferson: A real world. How arrogant are you to think yours is the only one? There are infinite more. You have to open your mind. They touch one another, pressing up in a long line of lands. Each just as real as the last. All have their own rules. Some have magic, some donβt. And some need magic. Like this one. And thatβs where you come in. You and your friend are not leaving here, until you make my hat. Until you get it to work. That entire quote is idicative of Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” series.
SK wrote himself into the story as himself.
Worlds ‘touched’ and had their own rules.
One of the worlds was ‘our world’ and while it didn’t have magic, it had ‘Thinnies’ or ‘places where the boundries between worlds was thin’.December 11, 2012 at 11:38 am in reply to: Name thing and Mr. Gold’s memory mystery revealed? #164507gypsy
ParticipantYes, K&H confirmed (podcast back in May) that Rumplestiltskin got his memory back when he heard Emma say her name at Granny’s B&B in eps 1.

ParticipantNova says to Dreamy/Grumpy “….As Fairies, we get to spend very little time in YOUR world…”
That tells me, Fairies aren’t from the EF, so, when BF says “….powers the WORLD…” she is not speaking of just the EF.
