Oh, I know, it wouldn’t be the first time I was led down the wrong ‘rabbit hole’ by following clues from K&H 🙂
I just think those are pretty interesting connections to the name.Even if he doesn’t turn out to be Peter Pan, I do still think he will turn out to be Bae.
The real Neal Cassady was known as the Peter Pan of his time.
He did a documentary in the 60’s with the Grateful Dead “Magic Trip” where Neal drove the bus, named “Further” from San Fran to ‘NY.’
The Grateful Dead wrote a song about Neal and their trip, “The Other One”.
Some of the lyrics: “Cowboy Neal, at the wheel on the bus to Never Never Land”.There’s also a bus company that has been based in NY since the 1930’s- The Peter Pan Bus Co.
And a famous bakery in NY called Peter Pan Pastries.K&H are self proclaimed ‘Dead Heads” and created a fictitious band for LOST, based on the Grateful Dead, called Geronimo Jackson.
Emma has a Geronimo Jackson sticker on her car. Henry had a GJ CD in his backpack. Neal has a GJ sticker on his phone case.
So, by connecting all these together, I believe K&H named him Neal Cassady because of the Peter Pan clues associated with the name.
(and I also believe he’s Bae).Me and TheGoldenKey have added these clues to her Bae is Peter Pan and Henry’s father theory.
Also, Neal has a Dreamcatcher in his apt.
K&H are also huge Stephen King fans.
Stephen King wrote ‘Dreamcatcher’. In describing one of the main characters (the hero- Duddits Cavell) SK says: ” The fact that he has Down Syndrome makes him like Peter Pan.” (able to travel through worlds, albeit, telepathically)
Now that they revealed Henry’s father’s name to be Neal Cassady, there’s even more reasons for me to believe he is Peter Pan.
The symbols are very interesting.
Some other points I found interesting and seemed to have relevence:Also notice the necklace is silver….the cresent moon is the Alchemical symbol for silver.
Being a pure metal, it is why legend has it that ‘evil’ beings could be killed with silver bullets and why Vampires could not be seen in mirrors….silver backed mirrors/objects cannot reflect ‘impurity’.The symbol on the wraith’s medallion was very similar to the Alchemical symbol for Antimony.
In “The Doctor” the premise about magic/science was basically referring to Alchemy.
In Mary Shelley’s novel, Dr Frankenstein was studying and very much into Alchemy….which is what lead him to believe he could in fact re-animate his ‘monster’.ceege- I really like that theory, cause, yeah, why wouldn’t QoH want Regina referred to as Queen? Cora was the one that wanted Regina to marry King Leopold simply to become Queen in the first place
The only thing is, why hide her identity with a veil? If QoH were Snow’s mother, we wouldn’t necessarily know that she was Snow’s mom just by looking at her…..???
I just don’t get what her motive would be to go through so much to get the Dark Curse cast only to have it broken?
Plus, like TGK said, some things K&H say are pretty straight forward.
I think Gold/Rumple knows exactly what the dreams are- he seemed to know what he was talking about- and knows that, somehow, through these dreams, Emma can be brought back to Storybrooke. I think he needs Emma in Storybrooke, because he can’t leave to search for Bae, but, Emma can. And, she owes him a favor.
