ParticipantJudging by the fact that Bae didn’t look like he aged much, if at all, between the time he turned 14 and the time he went through the portal, I think it’s safe to say was still the same age. I would guess that Rumplestiltskin would have ended the war asap after becoming the Dark One…why would he wait a day, week, month, year (?) if he had the power to save the kids? It’s tough to predict how old Bae would be because we don’t know when he came to our world. He was ‘supposed’ to go to a ‘land without magic’ but, as TheGoldenKey pointed out, when the Blue Fairy gave Bae the bean, she told him to “follow it wherever it leads you”. He could’ve ended up in Neverland, spent 100 yrs there, not aged, eventually found his way to our world, started aging normally and met Emma.

ParticipantIf he added it as a ‘safety valve’ he would.

ParticipantExactly- a loophole- or, as Mr. Gold put it, a safety valve. Just like the true love potion, hearing Emma’s name was one, too. Something else was probably the trigger for him to know which child was the right one to bring to Regina (without knowing who he was, exactly). I wouldn’t be surprised to find out Rumplestiltskin put something in the curse to make sure ‘the savior’ got pregnant when she did, so that Henry would be born when he was and even be able to be adopted when he was…that was no coincidence, either.

ParticipantI don’t see how Mr. Gold could’ve known that Henry was Emma’s kid when he got him for Regina. He didn’t even know who Emma was, at first. In a live podcast, back in May or June, K&H said Mr. Gold only got his memories back when he heard Emma say her name at Granny’s B&B- which goes directly with the flashback when Rumplestiltskin was in the dungeon and PC and SW went to see him and he was so adamant about knowing their unborn child’s name.

ParticipantGoldenkey- you’re right about what BF said to Ba. This is part of the transcript from “The Return” :
(The Blue Fairy tosses him a transparent looking bean.)
Baelfire: What is it?
Blue Fairy: A magic bean. The very last one that is known to our kind. The others got away from us. You just use it wisely, and follow wherever it leads you. It will save you both.
(The Blue Fairy disappears. Baelfire returns home.)So she says the others ‘got away’ from us…if Bae went to neverland, he meets up with Tinkerbell, she’s got one of the beans…he uses it to leave Neverland for a land without magic…maybe he spent all his time trying to find his father as Rumple spent trying to find Bae.
gypsy
ParticipantEverything ties together. Could be that the magic bean took Bae to the same room Jefferson’s hat took him and EQ. Bae didn’t know which door to choose. He chose the Neverland door by mistake and ended up in Neverland before ultimately coming to our world and meeting Emma….

ParticipantFaux Pas- I didn’t get that from TheGoldenKey’s theory, at all.
GoldenKey- The whole thing with Bae being Peter Pan could very likely work…if Bae went to Neverland when he used the magic bean from BF and then at some point Bae/ PP crossed over from Neverland to our world (as we know PP could do) maybe he couldn’t get back to Neverland…so he remained in our world and started to age normally and met Emma…..gypsy
ParticipantI Love this theory, too. I fell in love with it the first time I read it on the OUAT fb page. A friend of mine and I looked into it and found even more connections- Damon Lindelof (LOST producer/consultant for OUAT) co- wrote/produced “Prometheus” – Mary Shelley’s sub title for Frankenstein is “The Modern Prometheus”….Anders made a comment about red, white and blue – there’s a book/documentary “Nightmares in Red, White and Blue – Evolution of the Modern Horror Film”…and then there’s the “Schumacher” clue on the new app -(Julia Schumacher’s book and Thomas Schumacher/production pres. for Disney….producing ‘Young Frankenstein’ off Broadway) also hinting at Frankenstein.

ParticipantIn the one pic, it looks to me like Dr. Wale is trying to reason with Regina…like…for her own good. Like someone who is on her side, but thinks she is being overly dramatic or unreasonable…..like he’s trying to talk some sense into her.
gypsy
ParticipantI agree, GoldenKey. Who is to say WHEN someone ‘thought’ of something? I think it’s childish when I see ppl post “Remember where you saw it first!” or “You heard it here first!” I belong to several OUAT fan sites/pages…someone could be the first to post on one site, while 1,700 other ppl on 100 different sites posted it the week/month before. Anyway, what’s the big deal ‘BEING FIRST’??? Is there a prize lol! Wonder how many ppl who scream to ‘first’ with a theory are ‘first’ to admit it if they turn out to be wrong? And, yeah, Go Team Frankie ❗
