That’s a good idea, tabsicle! If Cora found out that Rumple was getting Regina to cast the curse, she could have altered it so that no one could leave. That way, all she would have to do is find a portal to Storybrooke and not have to search the whole world. It would make sense if Cora did this because Rumple obviously didn’t know that he wouldn’t be able to leave.
Although, I have another idea about why they can’t leave. I think that because Rumple brought magic back, the price of that magic was the barrier.[adrotate group="5"]@EvilQueen wrote:
I think this is because they needed the compass for the PORTAL, as sort of a way of telling the portal where they want to go rather than navigating themselves. Whereas when you are using a bean, it seems like it takes you where you want it anyway (before it was a land without magic for Bae then Neverland for Hook). The beans seem to be pretty special and way more powerful than just ordinary portals so maybe they don’t need any extra artifacts.
Ahhh…. I suppose that does make sense.
Oh, I just thought of another question. How did Emma and Snow and Mulan know to go to Lake Nostos? Because I don’t think Cora ever mentioned anything about it… just saying….
Okay first of all, I was sooo disappointed that we didn’t have more new stuff. Seriously people? We have to wait a whole month, the least you could do is give us a full thirty seconds of footage.
So first, of all, Rumple confronting Hook… on his ship. Well, it doesn’t look like it’s going to take them very long to start going at it. And here I was thinking Hook and Cora would sneak in Storybrooke and lay low for a while.
Second, Oh my gosh! I think Gold is finally calling his favor! And of course Bae will probably be Neal. Can’t wait for that reunion.
Okay, so in FTL, Regina is after Snow, wants her dead, has her against the wall… when did this happen? Clearly she’s in Evil Queen mode, but did you see her hair? I mean, she’s wearing normal clothes, her hair is in a normal ponytail, and yet they appear to be in some sort of castle. Whaaaaaat?
So…. the Charmings confront Regina, I think about Henry. Why would they want to keep Henry from her? Seriously, Emma? Why do you wish to make her angry? She was doing so well! Please don’t make her go back evil! Please!
So yeah, that’s all I got.

I think this makes the most sense. I would also like to mention that Rumple can glimpse the future, so maybe he didn’t know who would come from the portal, but he could tell that Emma would be trapped in there at some point.
Also, I have to point out what Gold said at the beginning of the episode. With David still asleep, they don’t even know if Snow received their message. So, even though he knows that Emma and Snow would defeat Cora if they had the ink, he has absolutely no idea of knowing whether or not they even know about it.
Favorite Moments- When Henry hugged Regina, when Emma figured out she had magic, and basically the entire last half of the show.
Least Favorite Moments- Henry being a jerk to Regina, Gold being a jerk to Regina, and the end. Why must we wait so long? *sniffle*

I can’t help a feeling that he’s hiding something. He saved Aurora’s hear and he practically let Emma beat him – I mean a girl with a sword only for the second time in her hands versus a 300 years worth of pirate fighting experience? He’s onto something!I totally agree. Why would he save Aurora’s heart? Does he actually want them to find Phillip or something? Hook’s intentions have always been questionable, but I’m wondering why he even brought Cora along in the first place. They could have parted ways, and then him just used the bean for himself. – Rumple’s blur on Cora coming through – he spoke like he had no doubt Cora is going to bring havoc to the place and kill Henry – Rumple sounded like he really didn’t think they could stand a chance against her! What’s with the sudden change of attitude, Mr Gold? 5 minutes ago he was claiming that Cora is no threat to him and that he is stronger than her by any means and then all that talk? Hmpf.
The only thing I can think of is that he was saying all that to manipulate Regina in to helping him, which by the way, I really wanted to punch him in the freakin face after that!
– My heart broke for Regina. Multiple times. She even stood up to Rumple and said she didn’t want to help him and use magic. She was even WORRIED about Snow and Emma!!!! She’s really trying so so hard… And then she SAVED them. She really did it and Henry… well, he didn’t even run towards her when she fell on her knees afterwards. It was horrible. Very uncool kid! And Regina’s face when Emma and Henry got reunited. Heart break after a heart break. She just risked EVERYTHING so that he could have it his way, she really did what he asked for and he didn’t even ask if she was ok when she lifted the spell.
I was really happy when he did come back to her eventually in Rumple’s shop and properly said thank you and they hug but then… they go out to eat and… another heart break. WHY are you doing this to me??? And Mr Gold just HAD to dig this even more “you just reunited mother and son. Maybe one day they’ll even invite you to a dinner?” I’m sorry but this is just plain cruel.Oh my gosh, I kept yelling at the tv over this! I think my dad thinks I’m crazy…. but seriously, what is wrong with that kid? He’s such a jerk! Regina falls to the ground, clearly in pain, and he doesn’t even say, “are you all right?” No. He’s just so concerned over Emma and Snow, he throws her to the side. I too, was incredibly happy when he finally hugged her. I think I might have been tearing up. And then they left and was like, “C’mon, Henry! Invite her! Invite her!” and then he turns to her and my hopes are dashed. “See you later.” Seriously? After all this woman has done for you!?!? Gosh, it makes me crazy. I do understand him wanting to spend some time with his family since they just got back, really I do, but the least he could have done is ask if she wanted to come with them. Come on, Henry. It’s not that hard.
– the ink. Throughout the entire episode I was shouting at the screen: “WHAT *(please avoid obscenities)*, YOU HAVE THE INK ON THIS PIECE OF PAPER, WHAT ELSE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?!”. I was really disappointed with how slow their minds worked, I know Emma was distracted with her new discovery on Rumple planning it all along but no one else noticed the fact! I mean, what else could Rumple use to write Emma’s name, huh? HUH?!
Yeah, I didn’t actually catch that at first and I was racking my brain trying to figure out if Aurora stole the ink or something, but then it went to a commercial break and I was like “Oh. Duh. The scroll.” I felt really stupid after that…
– something REALLY REALLY bothered me. Snow said “When I was a little girl I used to sneak into Cora’s chamber and watch her practice magic.” WHAT? I mean CORA’S chamber? But Regina got rid of Cora even before her wedding! Has Cora been connected to Leopold and his kingdom before Regina saved Snow?
Maybe this was referring to the few weeks in between Regina rescuing Snow and her marriage to Leopold?
– whatever happened to the “you found me”-“I will always find you” line? they didn’t say it, so it doesn’t count!!!! 😆
I was almost dissapinted when they didn’t say that. It just… wasn’t the same.

Okay, yes it was cool, however, I have one important question. If Emma and Snow used the compass, how did Cora and Hook get there? I mean, they made such a big deal about having to have that compass, but then Cora and Hook just show up? Makes no sense.
Oh my gosh! I’m freaking out! Please, Regina, please do the right thing! Although someone seriously needs to give Henry a dose of reality. Good doesn’t always win, kid.

Well, I was originally worried that with Henry not giving a crap about it, she will eventually give up but now they showed all that intimacy between mother and son and him appreciating her help and her attempts in redemption. He finally let her in (and even thanked for the blanket 😉 ), they are both making little steps towards getting back together and it will take time but it really gave me good feelings – Regina can finally see the hope that Henry will not reject her if she keeps on going this path, that surely it must give her strength to go through it.
Admittedly, I don’t think she will give up magic entirely, there will always be something that needs to be dealt with magic or even in her self defense – especially if Cora manages to get to SB! (Or Emma, fuming towards her and blaming her for EVERYTHING)
I know she will struggle but she’s heading in the right direction! Now she reminded herself how to love and everything – she has a new goal in her life and she won’t give up so easily on it!Oh yeah, that blanket scene was too adorable, and I do agree that if Henry keeps encouraging her, she will manage to completely redeem herself, though it may take a while. A long while. Maybe until his high school graduation? 😛

Plus, the clothing. Her dress was all blue, and I don’t think we’ve ever seen the Evil Queen wear blue, have we? Cora on the other hand, that’s practically all she wears. But I really do HOPE that it’s Regina, don’t get me wrong, it’s just that the promo has made me wonder…
