I doubt this because Regina could heal him, I think it is something in his pass perhaps something to do with his dad too since we don’t know anything about David’s Dad but are suppose to get some more history on David this year.

I hope he wasn’t a lost boy this would be too much for me good grief they should just rename the show the Rumpelstiltskin’s story instead of Once Upon a time because he has been every where and involved with everyone it is surprising how anyone lived without him before.
Plus I am sure we won’t see how he gets to NL and back so we will get more pot hole questions or another Rumple story, the one man show – Rumble (Lost Boy, Crocodile, Mr. Gold, Rumpelstiltskin, the Dark One) you don’t need to hire any other characters since we have Rumple.

The reason I think it would be Belle, is yes, Neal heard about her in Miller’s daughter phonecall.
Her story obviously mentions his castle as he needed a maid and she had to come live there, no way to avoid showing it right?
I don’t think her story is in the book especially since she was locked up the book had only stories of people who are currently living in SB.
I also think he read about it in the book, but obviously it doesn’t figure in his own story of Peasant Rumple becomes the Dark One. Nor would it be in “Rumpelstiltskin” and the Miller’s Daughter unless mentioned in passing. I think it would feature in Belle’s story and he probably figured the beast was his father.

I wish stories from that book were made available to us. It would answer a lot of questions.
How could Rumble’s castle be in the book, if Bae was in it in his old clothes, also remember Henry couldn’t figure out who Mr. Gold was so no the book didn’t have him in his castle if anything would show him in jail since that is when the curse happen since they show Emma in her blanket with Charming.
