As the main characters of Once Upon a Time travel to Neverland for season 3, they discover the new environment has a “profound effect” on them, according to the show’s co-creator.

“Neverland is a land of belief, a land of imagination, and a land where all our main characters are being stripped down to their core,” show co-creator Adam Horowitz told Entertainment Weekly in a report on Thursday.

It’s really allowing us, as writers, to dig deep into who they are and to push them forward to new places,” he continued. “I think being in Neverland is going to have a profound effect on each of the characters.”

Fellow co-creator Edward Kitsis added that it will be interesting in season 3 to explore the relationship Emma (Jennifer Morrison) has with her parents, Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas).

Additionally, Kitsis revealed that in episode 2, titled Lost Girl, there will be “a good old-fashioned Evil Queen versus Snow and Charming” conflict. He teased that Snow will also have a new outfit and the Queen will have a “cool Queen costume.”

The co-creators also talked to TVLine on Thursday, regarding one of the most prominent new characters in season 3: Peter Pan. Horowitz revealed there is a history between Peter Pan and Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle), and not a particularly pleasant one.

“There is a big reason why he [Carlyle] said if you’re going to be scared of someone, this is the guy to be scared of,” Horowitz explained.

Kitsis added that there is also a level of respect Rumplestiltskin has for Peter Pan.

“When you meet Pan, you’re going to see a very, very, very clever person,” Kitsis explained. “And if there’s one thing Rumple admires, it’s somebody who has game.”

Yea, I kind of have to agree with you ObisGirl, too much medical and crime shows don’t know if it would fly.

I think it just for the Festival nothing more.

Of course, this could also be something to do with the Maritime Festival that’s going on in Steveston too.

My friend Meg, when she cusses, she says ‘Jiminy Cricket’ — which I think is funny but then she said it accidentally when we were at Walt Disney World. We got a lot of funny stares from people.

I don’t think the scene really adds anything. We already knew from the previous episode or in that episode that Neal had a connection to Hook because he recognized him.

Thank you and I agree!!! 🙂

That isn’t true you would be surprise how many people don’t know how to swim, float or hold their breath underwater. We are suppose to get David’s back story so he couldn’t have stayed on the farm all the time he must have gone out in the world to see what is out there. Right now I am betting on Ariel has a connection to David. I could be wrong but I don’t think I am.

I posted this on another thread was looking for this one so adding here too.

Ariel is going to be connected to David. As Tinkerbell was for Regina, the nanny was for Snow it is his turn now. How did he know how to swim underwater in that scene with the Siren in the lake, I can’t think of that name of the episode to save my life.

He was a sheep herder normally there isn’t any lakes around for this must be part of his story. 🙂
