Oh, I don’t deny the ick factor- totally agree there!
Almost the same as the Emma/Hook ick factor, but, they went there, so, CoraLeo doesn’t surprise me.

And, ppl are going on the assumption that Leo and Regina were actually “together”.
Just throwing this out there.
We know TLK doesn’t necessarily have to be between love interests.
It can be between parent/child as was the case with Emma and Henry and the Dark Curse.
Rumplestiltskin hated his father, but, deep down, he truly loved him.
They made a point of having Rumple kiss Malcolm before he stabbed him. Could be that TLK broke the DO curse because it was given during the sacrifice?
TLK when it comes to the DO Curse may have nothing to do with Belle at all.
Just a thought.Betsy – we really can’t say that most Dark One’s wouldn’t have a TLK. There”s no way for us to know that.
However, if that were the case, and as you said – the issue of whether a kiss could break it wouldn’t come up……why then did Regina bring it up?Also, maybe the fact that Rumple was wearing the cuff that blocked magic when he stabbed himself and Malcolm changed the outcome of the act of sacrifice.

Even though MM and David were their cursed selves in SB, their True Love still came through. They kissed many times, but the curse remained.
Emma kissed Graham. Was it True Love? Potential True Love? Because he started to remember when he kissed her, yet the curse remained.
But the Dark Curse had to be broken by Emma the Saviour. She had to kiss Henry inparticular.
Because that was written into the Dark Curse.
So, I’m thinking something similar about the Dark One Curse that would prevent or stall TLK from breaking it.
TLK only gets you so far…depending on how powerful the curse is, maybe?Marty yes. I always thought something along that line. Rumple made himself look like the monster that he thought he was. Belle’s kiss made him feel human again – albeit, still cursed.

Could be, but, Regina is the one who said the DO curse could be broken with TLK. And maybe she believed that, but we all know that’s not true. The DO curse cannot be broken with TLK.
What we saw in Skin Deep was Rumple becoming more human. Still cursed, but more human. Look at how different Rumple looks as the DO as opposed to Zoso.
Why is that?
No, breaking the DO curse is not as simple as TLK.I said it would make ppl angry…..you said it would only make Rumbelle/Gold haters angry.
And regardless of what the post is about, canon can not just be tossed aside. Rumple (who was cursed, not Gold btw) and his curse is not the foundation of the plot. The show is not about Rumbelle. Yes, they are an important part, but, they are just a subplot. If you don’t want ppl’s opinions, why bother to post?
