No matter how gifted Zelena is with magic, I don’t think she’d be able to cross realms just like that. Even the Dark One can’t do that.
[adrotate group="5"]Speaking of hearts, I wonder if Regina’s heart will even work. For the curse to be done, the heart of the thing they love the most is required – Regina used her father’s, and Rumple said that he was the one Zelena loved most. Does Zelena even feel a slightest love for her half-sister? Or did Zelena simply need it to be Regina’s because they’re related? For some reason, I don’t think Regina having a ‘resilient’ heart is enough reason for Zelena to want her sister’s heart so much.
Zelena knows what kind of heart she needs and obviously thinks Regina’s is suitable. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
This isn’t the dark curse, it doesn’t have to be “the heart of the thing they love most”. Belle said “resilient” and Zelena said “battered”… I’m assuming it has to do with the fact that even after everything she’s been through and everything she’s done, Regina’s heart still isn’t completely dark. It still has light in it and it can still love.
Maybe the reason it has to be this baby is that it will be born during the dark curse? That could make it special somehow, like a “cursed baby”. It would explain why Zelena wants Emma to lose her magic: Emma, as the saviour, is the only one who can break the curse. And if it’s broken, the baby won’t be cursed anymore and the time travel spell won’t work. It also explains why Zelena cast the curse in the first place.
