I hope my last post didn’t sound too angry. I reread it just now and it sounded angrier and more emphatically tart than I intended it to be. Sorry about that. I need more sleep. 🙁

I’ve always expected them to be endgame too. It’s the stupid death spoiler that’s making me nervous. I don’t know if they predicted how popular CS would become. And I think they *do* take it into consideration. I think they tell their own story but how much of it is now tainted by fan desires? But, even if I’m a little negative right now, I’ll always believe that SF is true love. Death can’t stop true love. It can only delay it.
It would have translated a lot more of they actually allowed Neal to have a centric episode at some point instead of using him as their ‘slow burning’ character who hasn’t had nearly enough time to shine yet. *is still bitter* 🙁
I wasn’t really that surprised that the ‘bad boy’ captured fans attention quicker than Neal did because a lot of women want that ‘hot fantasy guy’ they can go crazy over when they watch TV. Neal is more like a guy that a woman might be dating who may be good for her but also has his flaws and isn’t all that exciting, and since they don’t want to see their own life on TV, they are living out their fantasies and desires in Hook. I don’t know why women go crazy over a bad boy. I actually prefer the Hook of S2 because he was more layered and villain like and you didn’t know what you were going to get with him. I don’t like this mellowed out Hook that went from REVENGE to I HEART EMMA in the span of two weeks. I want my characters to have those layers and emotions to work through which is part of the reason I love Neal so much. He does actually have a little bad boy in him (being a thief and all) but he also has a heart of gold, cares so much about other people, and carries SO much emotional baggage from years of abandonment and loneliness that I find myself caring much more about what happens to him. Emma is the same way for me. Those are the characters that deserve to find a happy ending and finally have some peace in their hearts.
I still don’t think CS is as big as it seems in the online community. They’re just more vocal. The media doesn’t help with their obsessive nature about it and quite frankly, most SF fans are too scared to say anything in OUAT articles or other websites anymore because we immediately get attacked or called stupid, hopeless, pathetic, or ridiculous. I know I don’t comment about much anymore because I got tired of being bullied by others just because I had a different opinion. I’m REALLY hopeful that Operation Tiger helps break that theory that CS is so big because SF does have a lot of fans and it would be nice to see some positive SF stuff make an impact online. 🙂
